Reception with the General

The Driven to Extremes team had the honour of a reception hosted by the Governor of Gibraltar, Lieutenant General Ed Davis CB, CBE.
It was a proud moment for all of the veterans, but especially so for ex Royal Engineer Jay Smith who like the others had suffered from PTSD following his experiences in Iraq. The emotion of being part of a team again and a sense of belonging really got to him.

Thanks Blake. Setting up Driven to Extremes was a fantastic experience and answered a 25 year question of "Why did it happen to me?"
After years of searching, it all became clear - if I hadn't been through the problems I'd had, I wouldn't have had the understanding or motivation to help others. Finally, it all made sense.
Such a shame though that the very people I was trying to help chose to undermine my efforts.
