@@whiteninja9481 Here in the States, Thin Lizzy were basically a one-hit wonder (or two-hits, as it were). They're only known for Jailbreak and The Boys Are Back in Town. And to this day, that's the only two songs you'll hear get played on the radio. As I understand it, they enjoyed a bigger reputation outside of the US but still not as big as they deserved. I think they should have enjoyed success on the level of Zeppelin or Sabbath. Their output is massive and varied...and of high quality. And the scope of their influence easily puts them with the top bands of that era (you can't hear a twin lead and not give thanks to TL.) But yet, they're rarely mentioned when talking about those same bands. That's what I mean about underrated. UFO is another band that's massively underrated and in much the same way. They're massively influential but rarely get mentioned alongside the bands they influenced.

@@ethanreed8400 That's awesome. Stations where I grew up only knew about "Boys" so it was a while before we even got Jailbreak. But, man, every station should be playing the four we've mentioned plus -- Rosalie, Bad Reputation, Do Anything You Want, Massacre, Waiting for An Alibi. And I don't know how in the hell Dancing in the Moonlight didn't just explode on the charts -- that song had massive mainstream appeal.

So cool seeing Gary up there playing Greenie with them. That Les Paul has some serious history. Started with Peter Green in early Fleetwood Mac, then Gary played it until he passed and now it's owned and played by Kirk Hammett.

OMG! I've been looking for this for years to add to collection! Why was this not on the Dedication video dvd? This must have been right before Black Rose album after Robertson was kicked
out and Moore came back for 78 tour! This is rare! Where's the entire show? Thin Lizzy belongs in rock hall of fame and this performance kicks every other bands butt.

This has been my break up song for 40 years.
I play it to my girlfriends and walk away.
    It was just their turn

Why are these 2 performances never been out before? I love it! Great to see some new footage of these live gigs from about 45 years ago.

Saw Thin Lizzy open for Queen
    In Ottawa Canada January ‘77
It was my very…. First…. Concert.
WOW ! Let me tell you this… this was a Double Bill and as I recall they rotated who opened. Robo hurt his hand a month earlier and therefore we saw Gary Moore in his place.
I’ve been to thousands of shows…but this first show has yet to be topped!

The guitar Gary is playing is the “Greeny” Gibson Les Paul. Now owned by Kirk Hammet of Metallica. Not exactly sure of the price he paid but I believe it was over $1M. Kirk plays it all the time on tour.
