@tiamrahm187 with the definition of assault in NSW being "An intentional or reckless action that causes another person to fear or apprehend immediate violence" and given that Simon (the drummer) has reported getting hit on the head by multiple dogs fans, I think it is fair to say he was assaulted. Luckily, he had his helmet on 😂

As a bulldogs fan..i have always worried that when we return to succesful times what our fan base would be like. Unfortunately we have some bad seeds that ruin it for the rest.
This was the case in the early 2000s when the club and players had to plead with fans to maintain a respectful environment for all.
I hope they dont diminish the rise of this club again. We have waited 8 long years for some success again.
mate , was at Belmore in 95, with the national 15's, we had the pleasure of viewing the inner sanctum, you could smell the success of the old doggies, and we had the pleasure of training on their deck, was a wonderful experience for the young players, i hope they maintain the ground as is, and not make a stadium as that would kill the atmosphere , i have followed the EELS since 75 , but love the game and i love watching the under dogs rise up

I'm really happy for the Bulldogs players, coaches and staff but it's hard to feel happy for the Bulldogs fans sometimes
AS a Roosters fan, it was always an interesting day heading off to Belmore. Got a bit messy a few times in the 80's , they got a tad naughty some of their lot. Well done to them. Respect from the UK.

Its great for the competition when Dogs and Dragons are doing well. But Bulldogs have a good test to see where theyre at with their tough draw to the finals. Dragons, Dolphins, Warriors, Sea Eagles and Cowboys. They arent easy match ups but they can get a few wins here.
Doggies fans r very passionate and over exuberant,we were down for so long,its exciting to c us competitive again,yeh some fans can go overboard but most r respectful of the opposition

Bulldogs official statement: "The Bulldogs are deeply concerned about an incident involving fan behaviour toward a supporter of the opposing team... we are profoundly disheartened by the display of intimidation and inappropriate conduct towards another fan of the game"

I like the bulldogs and am glad to see them doing well. However, they have had to pay overs to get stars over there and I can’t see how they’ve been able to do it without cheating the cap. So many Penrith players went there because the money was too good to resist.

Bulldogs have the most disrespectful fans in the competition. I’m the Parra mascot and have been sworn at, spat at, verbally attacked and even tackled. Passionate fans and Mascots are continually abused by doggies fans. After the loss of Raiders, ask (their drummer with the mask) Simon what he went through after the game. Not a single opposition supporter can say anything good about doggies fans and the way they behave. Win or lose, they always attack opposition. Disgusting!
