Hello there . I've just come across a 2pound coin that has the sliver part of the coin the wrong way round would you happen to know if this is a misprint by any chance?
I have had 2 misprinted £2 coins in the last 4 months the first was the brunel steamtrain coin but its the second one that is of great interest it the army we need you now minting error number 1 dots around the queens head others i have seen are to the top right of her head mine is to the bottom right error number 2 the phrase on the side of the coin is upside down error number 3 we need you is wonky to say the least and all 3 letters of you are running into the outer circle and error number 4 the elizabeth letterin is nearly running into the centre piece at the top unlike the date i have seen on others
The writing is one way up or the other on a 50% chance. Face value on that one I’m afraid. It’s just how the coin falls into the machine when minted. The writing is already on it
Despite my efforts, I cannot find the Jane Austin £2 and the ones thereafter. I can only seem to find them on Ebay as uncirculated versions going for high prices. Are you sure none of these are NIFC?

Hi Chris, the only U.K. £2 I can think of with the dove on it is the 1995 version. But the other side should be the queen! I’d post it to a coin group on Facebook to get an opinion from there... they may even make you an offer for it!

I actually have the uncirculated version of the 1807 £2 coin. It has the error on it. meaning text around the edge is upside down, i did pull the coin out of the collection pack i got as a gift some years back. I am not looking to sell this coin, but i have always wondered what the value of this coin would be to a collector? Could any one give me a safe estimate of the coin? I can provide pictures if proof needed for value. My Thanks Fishieable.
Hi! The writing upside down is not an error sadly, its pot luck which way the coin lands before being minted and the wrting is already on the side of the coin before that process.

I have a faulty 2 pound coin Charles dickens with 3 faults... the spelling on the side of coin (wili) writing is also upside down and the rivets run off around the front of coin. How much is that worth anybody?
The spelling upside down on the side will not be an error, but the others could be worth investigating. Have a look on sites like Facebook for groups called UK error coins. Post the picture on there of the coin, and people will be able to check it out for you! Sometimes people on there offer money for coins that people are asking about!
Not sure to be honest! See if you can find a facebook group about it ... there has to be one about american notes, but I do not really know much about notes sorry!
