They are not errors, just a consequence of mass production. With the 5p with 'missing' letters - the blank had oil (you can't compress a liquid) on it, so couldn't be struck up properly! I have several coins like that myself, and some of them are a lot worse. The oddest coin I've found is a Silver Gilt 1977 1p!
This sort of die misalignment is extremely common, a high percentage of coin has it. For it to get any premium, the edge should be completely gone on one side with nothing remaining.
I'm a little surprised that a member of a coin club refers to the 'front' of the coin as the part of the shield design and the 'back' as the queen's head. The monarch's head is the 'obverse' ('front') of a coin and the segment of shield is the 'reverse' ('back')
Nope, charles refused to melt any queens coins, for now they will both circulate together and there are already loads of charles coins out there, 2x 50ps with his portrait on, the queen's memorial coin and the coronation coin 🪙

There are a few are variants on the harp's pegs and strings on the 5p coins. I've picked them out after seeing them on Numista.
Didn't know that
Sweet finds.. Thanks for sharing:)
No problem
