Every time i watch this, i cry.
I think this video is 'way better' than the 'original', just because it includes the crowd factor in it -their moves, their voices, their ENERGY -which after so many times of listening to it, this is what makes it still a great piece!
I know my legs tremble every time i see it.

I love the faces Dave pulls when he solos. I have been wanting to see pink floyd my entire life and I have now missed both chances to ever do so :(
my goosebumps have goosebumps
I admit I was there that night (I actually was). I'd been driving for about 5 hours to get there, had a massive migraine, looked down and saw at the edge of the upper ring, about 40 people were down there pointing at the stage, why? Gilmour's Black Strat was sitting next to Roger's bass for the sound check. I went to a security guard to get a paracetamol and went for a walk with him to the first aid room, "Dude, is Gilmour actually playing tonight?" "Um...um....yes actually.". I cried, it was, nuts. I got back and uploaded my video at about 4AM before EMI took it down. No one realised as of that time WTF had happened. Shame Gilmour sung one of the verses twice, though I wouldn't be surprised he was trying to make sure Rog wouldn't be able to use it. I was in shock for about 2 days. True story. 😄

Has anyone noticed Girmour singing the wrong verse? i was so excited that Gilmour finally showed up. then i noticed while he's singing the second verse something was wrong, and noticed that he made a mistake and repeated the first verse during the second verse. instead of saying "when i was a child i caught a fleeting glimpse he says when i was a child i had a fever.
They finally gave him a railing
I've always thought that as well that he could of been on the drums

@PFforever1 he made a mistake. at the end of the second verse. he left out " i turned to look but it was gone i cant not put my finger on it now, the child is grown the dream is gone.. pull up a lyric sheet and follow along. you see the change.

I don't think id like to see them live, i love there music so much id want it to sound exactly like the albums.
And yea he changed the words round, or stuffed it up, at the solo was no where near as earth shattering, there were no people spontaneously combustion or no exploding heads like i would have thought
@RyanWehr Yes, it's a pitty, he fucked up the lyrics. And both solos were subpar, compared to what he usually does. I like to believe that it happened because he too was feeling in awe, just as the audience. He is cold, but that ambience impresses any guy.
It does sound like Nick's simple drumming, but how do you know for sure? Did he ever appear during the show?

@RyanWehr they slightly altered the lyrics for this show you can tell that from the fact the backing singers are singing the same words as david gilmour but i dont understand why are being so persistant in trying to fault one of the greatest songs i have ever seen live
maybe the back up singers heard the mess up and adjusted??
