I am a nurse practitioner that practices an Functional Medicine. I use a lot of supplements with my patients and have recently started down the herbalism journey. I love following you and the Honeystead! The house we bought a couple years ago, had echinacea growing in the front yard so that was my first tincture I did! I have it ready for this winter time 🙂. I am excited to watch you guys grow in your embolism journey as well! Again, thank you for all the information you guys share with us.
I make Glycerites instead of Tinctures. The glycerin is sweet and helps with the herb flavor especially potent ones. Plus glycerin is actually cheaper and goes further than Vodka. I detest the burn lol.

Hope you and your family are healthy and happy! I just wanted to clarify bc from my understanding and the readings I’ve done you should not take Echinacea tinctures for longer than 10 days in a row. Then you have to give it a break before using again. There are some conflicting opinions on this on the internet and some say it’s safe for consistent use for up to 6 months. But from all my herbalism books it is recommended no more than 10 days in a row. Just wondering what your recommendation is? Sending much love and prayers! ❤
I am so interested in this tincture. I have grown several varieties of echinacea this year from seed. Many different colors. Does this make a difference or can I use any color? I have some of the original "purple" echinacea as well, but many different colors I could harvest off of. Thanks for the informative video!

I bought some Otis from u. I followed ur instructions to the tee…but nothing happened. I added the flour yesterday, as instructed, but 24 hrs later it has still not started bubbling. What do I do now? Add more flour?
