Exactly. He is deliberately associating churchlessness with unbelief. He rebukes the churchless for "unbelief", then he blames evolution for this supposed unbelief.

It is true. You do not have to attend church to be Christian. However, if you are hungry for the word of God, you would want to take Communion often. Therefore, I believe if you do not have the need to take Communion to feel closer to God, you may not be a true Christian.

That's not the point here. He's talking about the fact that so many young people are not attending church anymore because they see an inconsistensy. Not how many of them are true believers... Of course true believers will not leave. The thing is, that we want to keep them in the church to preach them even if they are not believers. It's obvious. But the problem is that young people who should be discipled, are leaving because of preachers that are not holding on to the truth of scriptures.

People expect churches to believe in something. Even unbelievers do. When a pastor gives a bunch of possible interpretations of Genesis 1, he's forgetting that people are there to hear him and his church make a stand on doctrine. If you list a myriad of options, you sound like you actually don't believe any of them. Why would people be convinced by someone with no conviction?

    • @bjn3232
      @bjn3232 Pƙed 4 lety +3

You might be correct on that in most cases but there are some scenarios where it is best for a pastor not to take a firm stance on non-essential doctrines. If a pastor isn't particularly convinced of a certain interpretation of scripture should he preach it boldly as if he were? Is that not disingenuous? Pastors should go through the hard work of studying so that they can have conviction on scripture but there are still some circumstances where they may not reach that point. Considering the overwhelming evidence presented for common descent, I can see why pastors would struggle with confidently preaching one way or another.

I can only speak for myself, but the reason I left is because as you get older you begin to see the contradictions and all the grey areas. You also begin to realize that half of what was taught either isn’t in the Bible or were specific rules for specific people in a specific time period.
You hear every denomination and creed claim that their brand of Christianity is true and that most, if not all, others are in error. Christianity has three main branches, being Catholic, Protestant, and Orthodox. Under Protestantism alone exists a multitude of denominations, and under those denominations they fragment themselves further with conflicting creeds, structures, and statements of faith. They all sincerely believe their particular type of Christianity to be the most faithful and true.
I could go on and on, but there’s not much point in that...

Bro.Tim why blame evolution and the theorists? It's not at all surprising that church attendance is dropping. That's because preachers have all along focussed on the practice of Christianity (like church going etc.). Any practice is bound to die out. No one has spoken about the loving of a Savior. Hardly any "Christian" today even knows what's loving the Lord with all you heart, soul & mind. The only thing they can relate to will immediately be church attendance, prayer time, Bible reading etc... If love was the principle in a Christians' belief it would never go out of vogue.
The Bible is true "Love will grow cold".
The old covenant mentality gave us a form of religion but the new covenant gave us love.
Religion will pass away. That's what you are noticing. But love for a Savior will never ever pass away. If you don't want or desire that love, well that's biblical too, afterall the Lord says only a few will find Him.

What I have seen of millennial's is a rejection of God, it is a falling away there is a lot of confusion in the Church a lot of false teachers, theology that is heretical and plain Satanic in many Churches, I tell you this Christians in America who have been Judaized support anti-christs 1:5 And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.
1:6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.
1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
1:8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
1:10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
1:11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

I agree with you that there is somewhat erroneous orthodoxy on human religious traditions, but biblical love is hated by those who hasn't received the Spirit.
For example... you know what Christ like understanding of marriage counseling would be like? It wouldn't ask for 'compromise', but ask the Christian to spill their life for the loved one's sake (ultimately, their salvation). The unconditional sacrificing love. You are to forgive even the worst of the cheaters if they make feintest apologies. Do you really think this 'flies' with the world at large that has roughly 50% divorce rates for much more trivial issues?
So the notion that Christ's love 'never going out of vogue' is not true. Christ's love was never popular and true followers will always be a minority.

I also encountered other pastors who misused their platform, and the Bible tells us to beware deceivers who come in God's name. When Jesus encountered the priests living lavishly in the temple and condemned them, that was hardly an isolated incident. It still happens until this day. Still, I love the Lord. My church is a partaker of all these pagan celebrations: Christmas, Easter, Valentine's Day etc. Since my eyes were opened, I am no longer a partaker of any of these program. Evangelism from my church not truly focussing on on the truth and but bringing people to church to increase numbers. I see my church now being heavily influenced by the world: Dressing, dancing, more like a show of putting on the best dress, and make up been on flick. Gossiping even as church service going on. And the majority of the leaders are the leaders of gossiping. Competition among leaders. Pastor's say and decision is the final almost all times. Pastor scared to preach hard truth. Hardly any teaching of Jesus or about the end time and how people should prepare for the soon coming of our Lord and the events that foretold in scriptures. GREED!!!!!!!!! Food donations comes in to give to people in community who are in need, but I see church members including pastors wife accepting to take the really good stuff from these donations for themselves and the rest to the community. Yes they all have jobs and earning some sort of income. So they keep their money for food shopping, and come to collect food donations meant for really struggling community members. Church buying and selling and renting houses like real estate. I shared my revelation from the Lord through dream with my pastor, church, and women's group but I was deleted from the group because "pastor said no one should share anything about bible, God, Jesus on the women's whatsapp page and that it was only for communication"😱😱😱. He is the potter, we are the clay, we are being made into his image, not made past tense.

3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
5 And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.

We are in the last days. Christ and His disciples said it 2,000 years ago and it’s true today as it was back then only now we are minutes or maybe even seconds away. If you think of the time from Adam to now it’s about 6,000 years which 1 day with God is like a 1,000 to man, now look at the 6 days (6,000 years) like you do with the 6 days of creation, a week. Christ came on the 4th day or the 4,000 year mark, that would be Thursday. Now if this were a week and Christ came on a Thursday then yes you are in the last days because you only have Friday and Saturday left and then the 7th which is the day of rest or the millennium.
Many things and I believe almost all things repeat themselves or are examples of the future, foreshadowing. The creation week is just that for the actual span of this age.
The Bible never lies we just don’t completely understand it sometimes because we are created beings trying understand a limitless God. It’s like a dog trying understand things of a human, they see you paying bills and going in and out of the house but have no real idea of the importance of what you’re doing. Only Gods understanding is infinitely higher than ours.
There are many apologetics who are certified doctors who give excellent arguments for a young earth. Just search CZcams, you have no excuse really.
This is a side topic but worth mentioning. I also hear arguments for Christians being Pre, Mid or Post trib and also aumillenial. I have personally stood strongly on all these positions throughout my 25 years studying the Bible but have come to realize that they may all be correct and that’s the way God intended to be. We are talking past each other on that issue but I can see a strong case for all of them, and why not. The Bible has repeating patterns and why can’t Revelations be understood for all ages in their own time. We have to stop thinking like 3D characters and understand The Lord lives in all dimensions.

Are you saying that the New Testament isn't God's word?
Because the Vatican didn't exist when the New Testament was penned by the apostles of Christ. That there is a new Covenant is testified in the Old Testament,
      Jeremiah 31:31-34
Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord:
33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
The outpouring of the Holy Spirit (new birth), forgiveness of sins, personal relationship with God; it's all there. With a new Covenant, a new Testament; sealed with the blood of Christ.
      Hebrews 9:13-20
For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.
17 For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.
18 Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood.
19 For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,
20 Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.

Did you noticed that the covenant ITSELF DOES NOT CHANGE? The ONLY thing that will change and is changing IS HOW IT WILL BE MANIFESTED.
The Law didn't and will not change!
No more paper law that can be changed and transformed in whatever.
Is Israel Judah back together? not yet.

      2 Timothy 3:16-17
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
      2 Peter 1:20-21

The reality is that this is all a story: Who can tell a compelling narrative that captivates the minds of people? Who's story best fits the evidence?
I would like to develop a movie about the flood. How the animals traveled up land as the flood waters rose. How they grouped together on the last islands of land left, only to be buried moments later (and then fossilized). Something to depict a different narrative to explain the evidence.

If the fossils of the world were laid down by a global flood, we should find elephant fossils alongside sauropods and ammonites with humans. We see none of this.
