I absolutely LOVE Writer's Blood. As a writer, the name makes me laugh, but the ink is also fantastic. Flows so well and looks amazing on the page.

I’ve been unable to buy the discontinued Pilot Iroshizuku Ina-Ho, so this is very helpful in pointing out a replacement. Thank you 😘
I just did a huge swatch sheet of all my fountain pen ink samples. I learned mostly that my initial instincts when buying full bottles were really good, because I almost universally prefer the shades I already have to similar ones in my samples, ha! I love the low risk experimentation that is possible with samples. Also, Robert Oster Bronze is a very warm green shade skewing brown that has some really nice red shading on it, and falls kind of right between the Gold Antiqua and the Khaki from appearances. It's similar to Sailor Manyo Shirakashi, but with less red in the shading. The last shade I'll recommend is Diamine Midnight Hour. It's a deep blue violet with pronounced red sheening, and I am obsessed with it. It's the first bottle I ever bought from trying a sample.
I love samples for the same reasons that you do! Robert Oster Bronze and Diamine Midnight HOur... I'll have to add those to the list. And you are so right - I do love all the bottles I currently have (I did end up selling one after doing my bottled fountain pen ink swatching video) and I think I'm getting better with my instinct for bottles I will love!
I noticed you enjoyed the sample of Tsukushi- that is one of the discontinued inks. I wouldn't feel pressed to buy a bottle but if you think a love may develop it might be worth stocking up.

I’ve had two glass moon man pins dropped and broke both. So I went with something a little bit stronger for a dip pen and I hope it doesn’t happen again.
