José Luis Gutiérrez Bad Romance is a great pop song but she didn’t break anything nor change pop music, this is basically a Poker Face cousin.

@@ToxDuris She did break many rules with this specific song though, especially with the amount of distortion in the drum kit, it's very unusual to hear a pop song with a distorted bass drum being panned, bass is usually kept away in Mono from the rest of the song's stems (Which are mainly in Stereo), and to have a track that consistently pans the kick drum from Left to Right is rather unique tbh.
So they not only distorted the drums but also panned them heavily.
Not to mention the snare drum with intense delay and reverb.
This song breaks many technical rules and that's why it sounds so gritty and "ugly".
