    Hi Aaron, hope you're well. Would you mind if i ask, how long did it take for you to heal before getting "back into church/serving" again? Thank you sir.

      Hey Dean! “Heal” is a process, more so than a destination. So I’m years out and won’t say I am fully healed. Perhaps I am and only have scars. I’m not sure. I also don’t remember exact time frames. I do remember, however, leaving the church and going no where for 6 weeks. I stayed in my room, depressed. I then reached out to another minister then overtime gradually got back involved. The details are fuzzy. But I think I retraced the timeline in some of the other videos on the “Church Hurt” playlist here on the channel. If you watch through those videos, you’ll prob get a clearer picture than what I’m able to recall here on the spot at this time. I hope this helps, my friend. And thank you for asking.

      @@AaronJDaigle thank you replying. My story is too long to type, but many have left my previous church for the same reasons more or less. I was a leader there, got hurt, then left. Now I ented this new ministry to try just get back to worshiping, and praying, getting used to the church vibe and so on, which took me a while to even go into one. After 3 weeks, I'm being approached to serve, and after another few weeks or so I'm being told to join their leadership. Soon as all this started happening, a lot of things started coming up, emotions and feelings and stuff I'm really struggling with and didn't know I had - truamma. But now I'm pretty much being "forced" to serve and even join their leadership, and this cycle is starting up again, and it's bringing up a lot of hurtful memories and depression is now setting in because no one is actually listening to what I'm saying about not moving too fast. I just wanna sit down but feels like I can't, it's kinda starting again here...don't know what to do

    Oh and, i wanted to ask, what are the symptoms and affects you go through, that indicate server church hurt?

    • @AaronJDaigle
      @AaronJDaigle  Před měsícem +1

      I’m not exactly sure what server church hurt is. Perhaps you’re asking what it’s like for someone serving (lay ministry, 2nd man, etc) or perhaps intended to type “severe.” Either way, I have videos on that in the full playlist. Particularly the 6 things abusive churches say. And also the 12 things abusive churches do.
