i saw this when i was not even a teenager and was blown away by the video and the music video. Some people can foresee and that's what he did....
He could sing anyone songs, but I have never heard anyone who could sing his songs like he did

So missed. I discovered his greatness on Listen Without Prejudice. I was 11 when I heard Freedom and fell in love with his music. That particular record really resonated with me as a teen and young adult. Especially Cowboys and Angels. A legendary voice. But Such a brilliant and really underrated songwriter. I remember the day he passed. I was walking out of a movie with my wife. I saw the notification on my phone from CNN that he passed. Tears just started streaming down my face. Never happened before with anyone outside of a family member. His music, Esp Older, Listen and Patience really spoke to me.
Yehhh i was there,Fantastic. I always have a few tears when i watch this concert. I was lucky to see George again in Newcastle, when he returned after his terrible time with pneumonia. Again fantastic.
I was so lucky to have seen him, lots of my friends wish now they went to his concert. RIP the lovely yog. ❤

This man was a class act... No hoard of dancers behind him just his loyal backing singers, no bells & whistles just pure talent.... If you were there those two nights back in 2008 I'm sure like me & my friends along side me you will never forget it, the two shows were just amazing & the memories created will last forever, listening to this now it's a fresh as the night it was recorded, his music will never date, he was and always will be an amazing songwriter & a beautiful man inside & out, so thank you George for every single memory, they have become a part of me ♥️

@@neilfeinberg7825 I think the idea behind the backing singers being behind him in the structure like that was to basically be on stage on his own for certain songs, they did join him for quite a few too... He was very comfortable with his own talent & he knew he needed no back up or distractions, all eyes were on him.. In an interview after 25 Live he touched on the presses fascination with him & drugs & he said quite rightly ' The fact is I did 101 shows & I never missed a single one, & I did 101 really good performances too'.... Well said George he really bailed it, ever the professional he gave the audience what they deserved, the very best of himself & because of that people who were lucky enough to see those shows still have those memories & that piece of him you felt you took away from the performances, you really felt he was singing from the heart & he had so much gratitude for the people that loved him
