Goku did hit his head when he was a baby. He grew up in the sticks far away from humanity. So, he has very little concept of how to interact with people. But, when it comes to fighting, he is a fast learner.
Literally a point I've been trying to get over Goku is very naive but he's but stupid, he's only ever actually been taught how to fight, and he's amazing at it unaturally fast learner copied the Kamehameha after seeing it once and it took Roshi years to create
To get a better understanding of goku, I'd recommend watch the original dragonball. Who he is in super and z comes from his childhood.

@@CameronStewart-oc4de Yes, and the progression is soooo much better when you start from the original. I was lucky here um Brazil. Before cartoon network aired Z, a local Channel had the original aired years before. I actually got to see it in order as a kid

@@luizcadum3235I watched the whole entire dragon ball z series before I found out they had a regular dragon ball series where Goku was a kid.
There are 3 currently known timelines. They all exist simultaneously and parallel to each other. Future Trunks and Cell are from 2 of those lines which are roughly the same length. Present timeline is the 3rd line which is shorter than the other 2.

Technically there's also the past timeline where they win vs the androids, but cell doesn't appear, resulting in trunks going back without knowing he'd be attacked by cell
@@Fistrike That's Cell's timeline and it's also in the future but separate from Trunks' timeline. It's one of the 3 I mentioned. Cell jumped Trunks and went to the past (main timeline) to get the androids.

Remember that cell's future timeline has a trunks that went back and triumphed against the androids in the past, but did not fight cell as cell did not appear in that past timeline, so when he went back into the future he did not know he'd get jumped and killed. That past, where there is no cell, but trunks did go and defeat the androids is the one I'm talking about that you missed

Also regarding Videl, it wouldn't make sense to continue being a Tsundere to Gohan after marrying and having a baby with him. Continuing to be a crime-fighting vigilante with a baby at home would be ridiculously stupid and reckless.
But becoming japanese mother N°756 is still a very sad outcome for a character who was so cool to see in Z.

Yes, Goku did hit his head, which made him forget where he came from. But you'll learn later on in Broly movie and manga, where he got his battle smarts and his good heart from. I won't spoil but involves his parents. Also, Gohan was very underused in Super.. Until TOP and Superhero, so get ready for that. 😁

I mean Goku has selflessly saved the world countless times, saved so many people and well, I can't say more for spoilers sake but Goku gets a pass for a reason. At this point he has earned to do pretty much as he wants.
And yes Vegeta has grown as a character but remember, he was a cold merciless killer, he needs to work really hard to clean his background and this is thanks to Goku, if it wasn't for Goku, Vegeta would have died as a cold miserable villain at the hands of Krillin.
Everything Vegeta has today is thanks to Goku sparing his life. And this is with out counting that thanks to Goku's actions Vegeta was allowed to revive in Namek for a second chance, again, thanks to Goku.
Also if Goku remained as a Saiyan in personality, probably he would have turned like Bardok, maybe not ruthless killer but he would be probably be more violent in the matter of combat. Probably similar to Raditz behaviour. (BUt also if Goku never had hit his head, chances are he would have been killed eventually by Master Roshi or other strong warriors at that time since Goku even is his Oozaru form was pretty weak.
If I remember correctly Toriyama said that DBZ turned out to be too dark for his liking so he toned down everyone in general into more chill relax not stakes up for Super. So that's one of the little flaws of Toriyama's views about DB in general, I feel DB in General is better when its a little darker.
It is possible that Future Mai did became young again but by possible different reasons but since we don't see Future Trunk's timeline its open to that possibility. Because if not then she should be a lot older than Future Trunks so certainly something happened in Future Trunk's timeline where Mai was de-aged before the Androids killed Piccolo.
Moral of the story is, Goku didn't want Krilin to steal Vegeta's kill from him, poor Krilin. Well at least he got to fuck 18 lol
How Mai got younger in the future timeline was actually shown in the Manga, In the future timeline before Piccolo got killed and the dragon ball turned into stones Pilaf made a wish to make himself and his groupmates very young which resulted in Shenron turning them into babies, and that's also why trunks and Mai are the same age in the Future timeline as well

Goku's not dumb, hes just acting like that because you have to make sacrifices when you know you're the strongest in the Universe. I think Goku plays dumb because it makes his enemies underestimate him and it's a psychological advantage or something like that. I do agree it's kind of disrespectful for him to train at King Kais place like that but I think it shows that the strongest and pure hearted people can still make mistakes. I could be wrong but I think Goku discovered something about life that his friends haven't figured out yet and he plays along as being dumb because he knows everything always works out for him when he does the right thing.

Not really canon but I believe Goku would have still bonded with Grandpa Gohan and been nicer. He'd still wreck the planet and rule it and with how much wacky stuff is on it he might even get close to Super Saiyan and be able to join up with Raditz and Vegeta. After that they may not be able to fight Freeza in a straight fight or any friendship that's also helped carry him.
So true. Gohan has been thrown hell throughout his whole life. So I understand why he wants a simple life.

he was super aggressive before the head injury. the head injury made him more docile and receptive to being raised by gohan.
@@williamrosmer5629 Babies don't know the difference between Right and Wrong, the head injury only made him lose his memories not his personality, he regained them afterwards and he was still the same.

The timelines of a universe (in this case, universe 7) run parallel to each other. Any time someone travels to the past or future, they're traveling to the past or future of one of the other timelines, not their own.
Yes, Mai was turned younger in Future Trunks' timeline. Physically, Future/Present Mai is the same age as Future/Present Trunks but mentally Future/Present Mai is around the age of Future/Present Bulma.
That actually doesn't make sense. When did pilaf and mai and doggo wish to become young again in future trunks timeline? But in that timeline piccolo and kami didn't fuse right?
It was supposed to be around the three years before the Android's attack. They're supposed to be around Trunks' age as the wish made them actual babies.
Trunks' timeline does not have dragonballs. They were destroyed back when the androids first killed everyone. So the Mai in Trunks' timeline never reverted to a young age
If I recall, the Pilaf gang became straight up babies, not just kids. The wish was made a long time ago, possibly in the 3 year time skip when they trained for the Androids/Cyborgs (in both time lines), as the dragon balls could have been used in any of the 3 years to make that wish. Hence why Mai and Trunks in both timelines are similar in age.
Yeah, they're supposed to have become babies around the time Trunks was also a baby, so they indeed have similar age.

When I think of Z era goku I think of a guy who's never really around until the big fight. On king Kai's during the saiyin saga, on the ship during the namek saga and in bed sick during the android saga. We didn't often see goku's characterization outside of a crisis situation in Z. Then came super.
Should watch TFS "Goku Black" bit now that we're here.
5:35. I thought that would be a cool episode to see. Like Pilaf and the gang overhearing about how Goku hit his head and then using the Dragonballs to wish it didn't happen. Then Goku becomes how he would've been if he never hit his head.
Would have been an interesting reflection of how they resurrected King Piccolo.

Dragon Ball Super thankfully recalls moments from Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball. So, you have some idea of how Goku was like as a kid.

Something happen and I can only explain from what I saw, so there was some shit that had to do with Goku's Energy Super Saiyan Bomb ( if I'm not Mistaken) while He's in SUPER SAIYAN MODE, Jiren Hits back with his own Power, Charged Up ( Both sides ) Big Powers Came together and Then " SOMETHING HAPPEN HERE", now i in my mind i thought Goku died or something like that but then he came back....
Super lost into exhaustion, Drained of Stamina and lost for words, he was Reborn into ultra Instinct; mixture of his Supernatural Super Saiyan God and the Power between his Power bomb and Jiren's Power Fusion into One Almighty New Form...
White Grey-ish Hair and immortal blessing into some brand New being.
Way Stronger then any form combined...

That's totally inaccurate. Goku has always been an idiot. Every series. He knows how to fight and that's it. It is consistent with the character who was raised in the woods. Goku has always been an idiot. He was an idiot in Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Super, and everything in between. Dragon Ball Z might not have focused on it as much but he was still an idiot and was presented as such on numerous occasions. People that criticize Goku's character for being too dumb just do not understand the character, the series, or its humor. Goku has always been the opposite of Vegeta, that's why their characters work so well together. He has always been a simpleton from the beginning. Every portrayal of his character is as dimwitted.

that's not a plot hole. they didn't rebuild a new earth. It was restored to it's state prior to Fat buu or more specifically before Babidi arrived.
@@alsims2007 i thought the wish was just for earth to come back, and for everybody to be revived and forget about who Buu was. Not to reverse time before the earth was destroyed.

as for the forgetting Buu part that was done offscreen. that wish was made I think 6 months later using the earth dragonballs.
the wishes should've been restore the planet, revive the people, and restore Goku's energy.
