It always amazes me how such a small bird lays so many eggs.I love them.🥰
i say the same about council estate girls
I won’t say the obvious, but I do love them.
Well done for not saying it... haha
👌
Yes thank you for that, I was trying to think how to word it. 😅
Ditto ❤
😂😂
I’m 66 years old, and have only now started learning about birds (shame on me). I’ve really enjoyed getting to know all about these lovely creatures who I feed regularly . Thanks for these easy-to-watch videos….
I agree; easy yo watch, informative and enjoyable.
I feel the same though I am a bit younger at 17 lol. I just get bored on rides through my town and there are only a handful of bird species so I just tried to start naming them.
try to film them, it could become a good passive hobby that you could show others
All wings on deck! 🥰😄
Blue Tits are my most favourite birds around home, they are just so cute.
As an American I am interested in birds around the world though I'll never get to most of those places. The Blue tit is one of my favorite European songbirds.
They have got to be one of my favourite birds.
I'm old enough to remember watching Blue Tits tear the foil tops off milk bottles and drink the cream. I would watch them through our letterbox and was thus quite close.
I wonder how long they would take to relearn it if we started to use foil lid bottles again.
I just wanted to say how much I’m enjoying your content, CZcams definitely needs more content creators such as yourself. As a child I used to spend hours with my grandfather in his garden, listening to him tell me all about the wonderful and varied wildlife that paid a visit to the garden at different times of the year, and these are some of my most cherished memories so watching your videos brings wonderful sense of nostalgia, thank you so much 🙏
Wow amazing little feather friends
My favorite native bird (I'm Dutch) got a tattoo of one 😊
Nice one. I have been considering getting some wildlife tattooed on me but im not sure where to start (or where I would stop either!)
Bet that's nice
💕
I love blie tit birds. I have them too in a man made birdbox❤
We are lucky enough, this year, to have them nesting in our garden. The nesting box in question has only been up 4 years, but it takes time😂. I’ve a wildlife camera, but I’m afraid of disturbing them, so thats a job for the winter. We are lucky to have sparrows nesting in a gap in the eaves (which is weird as we had our house completely renovated but I’m glad they found the hole) and in the hedges, blackbirds and robins, all different tits, (including long tailed), finches, etc, including the obligatory pigeons and seagulls popping in for snacks, in fact all different families use our feeding stations and there’s never any squalling😂. We love all birds, but having the blue tits nest feels like we have achieved a great balance in our garden. 🎉. Thanks for all the info Liam, we love your channel!
I just love Liam's enthusiasm. Listen to his videos and one learns a lot. Great fun.
Thank you. Are you still enjoying my videos?
And again: I'm sure, I can see 20 BBC dokumentaries about what so ever Animal and I will not got informed the half of what I heart the last 4: 26 min. What a great Job. And Thank You for the well chosen music.
I recently managed to attract them to the garden, I’m delighted.
Brilliant, I hope they're still visiting!
@@AShotOfWildlifeThey are! I bought 25Kg of exotic seeds to last all winter. I have a family of eight visit every day now, including the two parents.
Happy days. 😊
@@dougieranger brilliant news. Sorry for my delay in replying, I'm gradually catching up!
@@AShotOfWildlifeNo need for apologies, you must be run off your feet.
Got two of them nesting in a box on our house wall here in sunny Charente. In every hour of daylight they are in and out feeding the young. Each year they return. Lovely to see them. Recently we saw a group of ten bee eaters. They hung around for an hour. Never seen them in our lives. So highly coloured.
I love the talks about all the different birds because it gives you more knowledge about them thanks so very much for telling us what we need to know I am a wheelchair user so I spend a lot of time watching them and I love it thanks so much
Hi I have just turned part of my garden to encourage wildlife particularly birds, I put out meal worms, seeds, fastballs and raisins. This has brought a pair of Robins, a Blue Tit, 2pairs of Doves, and wood pigions also starlings and can be between 10/20 at a time
That sounds great. Its amazing how much wildlife a garden can support when you provide for them.
@Sandra Mann Thanks I'll follow your example and see if I'm as lucky as you😁😂 lol.😆
Loved the video! ❤
I recently set up a nesting box for small birds in my yard. A paire of Blue Tits was interested as well as a paire of Great Tits. Yesterday I wittnessed them fighting over it, with the Blue Tits fiercely defending their territory. I decided to set up another box asap. Hopefully this will settle the matter.
Got a family in my garden bird nest, lovely
Such a delight to see them e ery morning on my feeders when working on my Anglia ❤
Very beautiful and lovely
Such lovely little things. They live for three years max and live every day to the full giving it the big un singing and messing about. There is a lesson there for us humans
There's a nesting pair in our garden, lovely to watch them
Great footage. I like this birds.
Greetings Jacq 🙋♀️
Great informative time video! We feed our local birds and have put up 5 nesting boxes, 3 of which have been used this year. Love your enthusiasm for all things wild 😊👍
this is great, we have a garden planted up with trees purely for wildlife and we have loads of little bluetits visit and nest in our garden. we have a large flat-roofed shed which collects water puddles and moss from the house, on there we get all manner of birds coming for a bath and forage through the moss piles. It's fun to watch them play from the bedroom window.
We have Blue Tits nest in our backyard they are beautiful ,thanks for sharing your thoughts
I'm in the US - I greatly enjoy your videos thanks!
Thank you for watching :) one day I'll come over to the USA and do some videos there too.
Very beautiful and clever birds, they come in my garden, occasionally land on kitchen window and look in ,cute and adorable
Beautiful video thank you.
Thank you!
Another cracking vid ! Glad you mentioned the milk bottle tops, the amount of swearing in our house coz of this !
I have just come across this channel. It is brilliant.
Thank you.
Thanks for the vid Mr. Poirate.
Content is boss. The filming and the time it takes is second to none.
EXCELLENT !! LIAM -- ALL IN A NUT SHELL!! THANKS! FROM U.K. (2022).
Thank you! From 2023 :)
They love our feeders. Beautiful. Thank so much Liam .
Nature soooooo amazing
I'm yet to spot a Blue Tit, they look like a clever breed of bird. Grand video mate 👍🏻
Thank you. Where are you based? They are a fairly common species over this way.
I live in Cavalry near the Leeds to Liverpool canal and river Aire.
I have them nesting in my bird box in my back garden love watching them Alec from Scotland
Great viewing and once again your enthusiasm adds to the video. They are always wonderful to watch and so fast. Amazing how many live in the city here .👍💚 Enjoy your weekend ,Greetings from Berlin :) Helena
I was very pleased to see this video. We’ve seen a Blue Tit using our bird feeder this year and were looking for information on these beautiful birds.
one of our fave birds
Great video
Definitely one of my favourite birds
They interact with me: calling me every morning, so I'd give them peanut snack from my hand.
Excellent thanks for sharing
Thank you!
Great. Thanks. Ive got some who have nested for the 3rd year in an old kettle i hung in a tree in my yard
So interesting..thanks so much.
Thank you!
Fair doos mate you packed a lot of info in there , nice and clear, thank you.
Thank you!
Hi I love this informative video on the blue tits, I have several of them here, and I have just printed some nesting boxes for them, and I hope they use them as I will gladly print more for them I also have Robins to print nesting boxes for sparrows too and a type of finch with red under there wings and lso I have several pygmy owl families too.
In the mountains south of Spain.
Thank you again
fantastic channel
A regular visitor to my garden. 🐦
I love these. I didn't know they were bluetits
Thank you so much for a very lovely and educational video. I will be looking out for more of your videos. Peter.
Thanks Peter. I have quite a few videos on the channel in this format and slightly different styles as well. They are all about wildlife though so if you liked this, im sure you will like some of them as well. Welcome to the channel!
As always very interesting.
Thank you!
my fave little bird, when i was young we used to loose our cream from milk bottles!..we dont have many caterpillars in norfolk, i havent seen one for years.
I absolutely adore your videos, so grateful for all the work you put into them, THANK YOU
Thank you, you are very welcome!
I just love them
Thank you. These are cute little birds that we don’t have in Canada.
Cheers, thanks for visiting the channel!
really love you videos.
Thank you
A very enjoyable series Liam. When I was delivering milk in the late 70s, there was one street on the edge of town (Bishopstoke, Hants) where many of the people left plastic caps out for me to put over the tops of the bottles to stop the blue tits.
I thought we all used to do that!
When bluetits began pecking off milk-bottle tops, it started in the south of England, and, strangely, birds as far away as Scotland began doing the same thing at exactly the same time! (Or so I read.)
This is my favourite video so far - because the blue tit is my favourite garden bird. We see very few around our garden unfortunately, but this year we have a new camera nest box, with a blue tit sized hole, in the hopes we will see a family being raised in there. It has only happened once before, In an old nest box, and that must have been about 10 yrs ago! So we are keeping our fingers crossed. Loved all the facts about them. And the footage was gorgeous. There is something about blue tits and blossom - they just go together so well!
Thanks 👍
Cheers!
Love them so much I bought a camera and bird box haha! Great video. Thank you
Great stuff. Did anything use your bird box?
@@AShotOfWildlife Oh aye, got some good footage , laughs and tears out of it haha. Keep up the great work, I never scroll past when I see a SoW video in my feed.
Awesome video thanks I have 4 boxes up all had young 🤠🇬🇧
love your videos...many thanks 💖
Thank you, I hope you're still enjoying them 😊
Thanks for the informative video. We always have a pair nesting nearby every year. I love their acrobatic skills and how they manage to fit into such small spaces to nest.
So pleased your channel appeared in my recommended yesterday. These posts are ideal and cover so much about our much loved birds.
I'm glad too! I hope you continue to enjoy the videos.
I really do love your videos and you have such a lovely way of presenting them. Thank you so much for all your hard work. Peter.
Thanks Peter.
Loved the video, Liam. Have subscribed 🤗
Thanks Janet. I hope you're still enjoying my videos.
@@AShotOfWildlife yeah, I am!
Coincidentally I happened to see your video & enjoyed watching it. Can you upload a video showing bird nest making?
Thank you. I will add a video about bird nest building but probably not until the spring now as most birds have stopped nesting for the year.
Thank you so much 🌻
Thank you!
Great video! Who wouldn’t love such precocious little characters? I love watching them on the bird table but was shocked one time to see a kestrel dive in. It flew off when I got too close but I only realised what I had been witness to bc of the sad little pile of blue and yellow fluff on the ground.
Hiya Liam
Thankyou for all your great info,
I live in the forest in Holland & we have bluetits every year into the tree,,,,
I also have a woodpecker for the last five years & this year we have 4 new ones growing fast… please can you do a video on woodpeckers,,,,
Thankyou & have a super day
Jo 🐣🐝🦉🦆
Oh and ducks on my pond and red squirrels, x
SO GLAD I STUMBLED ONTO YOUR SITE BRILLIANT
Cheers, I hope you're still enjoying the videos 😀
They're tiny but bold, and will hop closely around me. I love their little blue legs and feet 😊xx
Your video brought back memories of my mum putting yoghurt pots over the milk bottles.
I wondered why blue tits were ignoring the feed I put out for them. They are eating ants on my apple tree.
Great video btw
Thank you lovely
Got a nest right outside my window. Lovely to watch. Hoping they all make it.
Only just found your channel. This is brilliant!
Thank you from a UK bird feeder. 👍❤️
Edit: ...and subscribed. 😁
Thank you so much and a belated welcome to the channel! I hope you have found lots of videos that you enjoy here. I have lots more planned which I'm sure you will like as well- including one on garden birds in the next few weeks.
Wow! I feed them all year and there are many in the garden. I didn’t know a lot about them until now. Thanks for sharing. 😀
Hola, los que hay en mi país tienen el pico más largo y solo comen azúcar y alguna que otra fruta, le he puesto varias semillas pero no quieren eso , me gustaría darles otra cosa , que le das a comer? Gracias.
Your videos are so interesting. Iam learning so much about these beautiful birds that inhabit my garden.
Thank you!
Great stuff Liam. Beautiful little birds! I've just put up a Nest Box with a nestcam so I'm really hoping that we can encourage them to nest
Blue Tits had a bad year last year apparently
Good luck! Please keep me posted for if you get any resident. Will you be putting footage of it on your channel?
@@AShotOfWildlife definitely Liam - had a female scoping it out yesterday so fingers crossed 🤞🤞🤞
Is there a way to tempt them?
@@thinkislamcheckmychannel Not really - they were definitely interested but chose not
That's life mate😞
So pleased to have found this cos I have a blue tit nesting in the meter cupboard. They were successful so really good to know they are unlikely to try for another batch as I need to go in there every 5-6 weeks and was trying to time the next visit... They fledged and the adults have not yet rebuilt the nest which is kind messy after they grew lol
I love these videos, fair dues lad.
Cheers!
There's a nest in a small hole in the wall of my home. Constantly back and forwards feeding the chicks.
very intresting liam
Thank you!
Yes
I Love them XXX thank you for the info XXX
Thanks Sandra, I am glad you enjoyed it!
Very informative, thanks. Could you add something about where to place nesting boxes to your future videos pls.
Preferably north or north east facing walls, trees etc about 2-3 metres up is ideal for them.
@@andicampbell8621 Thanks very much
lovely like it
Thank you!
Nice 🐦 👍
Thank you!
❤❤❤❤❤
Odd, isn't it? There have been over 66,000 views yet under 3,000 have given this excellent video an up-vote! I wonder why people can't be bothered? Don't they know how important it is to show approval?
But it's ALSO just as important to not upvote literally every video.
The algorithm shows those vids with more votes more often.
If everyone clicked on every video, it would be the same as not clicking.
You should only click vids that go above and beyond the average.
Otherwise, all you do is raise where the average is. Meaning a channel needs even more clicks to stand out.....
Everything's twice.
1:16
I just did that an hour ago but with a chopstick.
Exactly the same model of birdfeeder too.
❤❤❤ lovely
They look like blue jays!
They are stunningly beautiful. Unfortunately we don’t get a wide variety of birds in New Zealand.
Goldfinches and Bullfinches are my favourite small UK birds, very pretty.
Jeden z najlepszych kanałów pokazujących piękno przyrody. Brawo. Pozdrawiam serdecznie i zapraszam do polskich lasów. Rafał.
You can bring the beer I'll bring sausages and cabbage.
I have 2 bird feeders at home and blue tits are very common visitors indeed. Both feeders are outside of my bedroom window so I can see the birds eating. Unfortunately, I often scare away the birds while trying to watch them.
Im sure they will get used to you being there in time, as long as you move slowly and quietly you will gradually be able to get a better view of them :)
@@AShotOfWildlife
Thanks for advice.
It won't be long before they are looking for nesting sites. It would be good to have a camera in a nesting box...🙂👍🏻
I would love to do that but there are a lot of cats around this way and not very much shelter for a box unfortunately.
@@AShotOfWildlife Couldn't you put one up higher than the suggested location? My box is up by the bathroom window, facing north. My blue tit nested immediately it went up in April 2019, has nested 3 years running, and roosted every autumn/winter since then too. She has a great flight path to neighbour's hawthorn tree - direct flight!! 😀 Lovely video & I loved the one about the pied wagtails too
@@AShotOfWildlife one way to deter cats from raiding nests is to make the boxes deeper. So that way the cat can’t reach in and grab the brooding parent or chicks. You can also put metal around the hole to keep woodpeckers out too
@@AShotOfWildlife here’s a tutorial on how to make them:czcams.com/video/8EfmVFDAfrw/video.html
I have wisteria growing along the top of a fence. Had a nest box there for a long time, we get blue tits every year, the twisted tangled branches are a good place for them to hide. Cats and bigger birds can't get near the nest. The fledgelings look bigger than the adults with their fluffy downy feathers. Last year I looked out of the kitchen window at just the right time to see a group of fluffy blue yellow balls sat on the washing line. I sit in the garden in the summer and can watch them come and go from the nest but only if I'm wearing sunglasses and pretending to read the newspaper otherwise they wait in a nearby tree until I look away.
ello mate, can you do one on seagull's plz? Great series
Hello mate. I've done a couple of gulls, search for "things you need to know about herring gulls" or "things you need to know about black headed gulls". Cheers.
@@AShotOfWildlife Ah so you have! I have a Herring Gull friend called Nigel who was born this time last year on our roof, now he is all white and has a girlfriend and they are nesting on our roof as well! They are lovely, clever birds. Keep up the good work mate, cheers
