Tourists and locals alike get pickpocketed a LOT in New Orleans and Paris, i stopped studying Arabic and haven't had a chance to have a long talk in french or english with a Moroccan about it, but i'd imagine a lot of the middle ages African and French theive's culture carried over. i know moroccan culture from germany where i grew up ( we have a lot of north african peoples in germany ) the three most popular things i know is that you have one of the best hash qualities , you have awesome mint tea and your cuisine is one of the best in the world ! Is it safe as a tourist to go into areas to enjoy these three kind of things ? How does morocco in general handle peoples who are smoking hash but dont do it on public spots ? will you need to pay money fees as a tourist or do they will go serious on you ?

@@larifari7876 I'm Moroccan and to answer your questions yes weed is illegal but the law itself really isn't that enforced over the country so people smoke it a bit more freely with no problem from the law, though if you're a foreigner you'd be much better to smoke it in private and to be careful carrying it since the police are aware that foreigners come in to Morocco to buy hashish. though if you're caught you could be subjected with 60k euros and crazy prison sentence, but that's the extreme side. if you want to buy the best hashish then it's best to go to chefchaouen for it. Morocco is a safe country to go anywhere pretty much aslong as you're nice and respectful to everyone then everything would be alright. Just make sure to always be aware of your surroundings and be safe💯

I've been to chefchaouen twice. Went to the farms. Best hash in the world. I love Morocco I went twice. One in 2018 and then 2019. Only had problems in Fez.

Just as a side note and a correction, the guy you met named 'Abd El Kbir' doesn't translate to big slave. It's more like 'Slave of the Big', the Big in this case is God. There are a lot of names in Morocco with this same formulation: 'Abd El ....' or 'Slave of the ....' and you replace the dots with one of God's names (or adjectives) in Arabic. He actually has 99 formal names all said in the Quran I think. Don't quote me on that I'am not that religious haha.
Couple examples : 'Abd EL Moula' = 'Slave of the Lord', 'Abd Allah' = 'Slave of Allah' ...

I love that you touch on food quality and how they grow, air and light pollution, and other factors that affect day to day life in other countries. It’s something I always try to explain my best to my friends here in jersey whenever I come back from Slovakia lol. It’s truly gotta be life shattering for any American when they leave the states (atleast big city-wise) for the first time and get a feel for life somewhere else, eating natural food, breathing clean air, etc etc. Im sure in some places ppl do live more like that here, but just how commonplace going to a real bakery, getting fresh dairy off a local farm, or getting meats that were raised on a field 20km away and literally just slaughtered this morning for your dinner tonight by a real butcher…. Different life man.
They really take so much away from us here in the states. Like he said he loses 10-15lbs on a trip, it’s true, all the Saturated fats n chems they feed us, the life full of labor n living to work rather than working to live like in other places.
