    The problem started when my son brought his things from the trunk of the car two days ago..I checked the fuse nothing changed , as well as the spare remote..I took it to the workshop, and he said that the problem is big, I have to go by car to the dealership...I felt desperate, so I searched the Internet again and I found this video. I checked the place and found two of the wires already cut, so I fixed them and the lock worked again with little money and effort. The wires were prominent. I did not have to open anything. Thank you, the size of the sky.

    You are early . You are 3 hours behind my time and for me it is 09.28 . I knew you were going to say " what a nightmare ". But as always, you got it done. Nice job Luis.

    I've had all sorts of problems with my lights and bootlock on those wires at the rear. Repaired so many but never knew the remote went through it. My key stopped working last week and you have saved me so much time on the computer.
    Thanks mate. I will checkout the wiring diagram tomorrow. ;) tia

    Great video. I had same issue when I first bought my E91 wagon. Checked all the wires (what a pain) but ended up being a bad amplifier. I loved the little ISTA tutorial. Not enough of those out there! I don't use ISTA very much because I just don't know how to use it very well. 🙂 Thank you!

    Luis, I had a problem with basically the same cause on my E36 saloon. I had non-working bootlight caused by a broken wire in the bootlid harness. The movement of the harness from opening and closing the boot over the years had strained the wires to the point to where some had broken.

    Bro, I do not have more than one scantool & the only hurdles I encounter are wiring diagrams, service data & component location's & yes it takes more than normal repair to figure all out, my request is plz make a video using IM608 on a similar fault, so that we can learn from you how to attack them without a test plan😉
    Really appreciate your work, Thanks for sharing & Stay Safe👍

      Difficult to tell is is intermittent...
      See if you find a pattern...
      Like, happens when it is raining, or too hot, etc...
      A scan of the car might can help...

    Hey, so I have an original key which unlocks and locks with remote and I got some spare ones, I got them programed but they don't unlock the car with the buttons! They Start the car, when I test the frequency the new ones are 315Mhz and my original key shows 314.98Mhz would this be the issue why they won't work? It's a 2008 335i new Zealand.

    Why doesn't the Alarm use the switch in the door lock like the central locking does

    • @LMAutoRepairs
      @LMAutoRepairs  Před 2 lety +2

      I guess is to ensure that the door lock is not forced open and the alarm is disabled...
      This way, only when the right key is inserted the alarm is disabled...
      I guess that is the theory behind it...
      👍👍👍
