Hey Daniel, if you're reading this I hope this can be useful for you. I'm a long time viewer and I think you do have talent in drawing, you do have talent in story telling, but one thing that's holding you back is your inability to push through doing something you might not enjoy for the sake of your future. Delayed gratification and sacrifice is a very very important and real aspect of life if you want to succeed in your definition. E.g. you can't pursue drawing but only drawing what you want, you might be able to in the future but you gotta also take the bad with the good. You need to work on your resilience in doing things you dont like for the sake of getting what's important for your future.

One could argue that going to prison, getting addicted or ending up homeless is progress compared to doing nothing. The aforementioned at least require you to do something. You can't do any of those if you do nothing. Besides, ex-convicts are popular with women.

You're not even 40 yet Daniel, theres people who literally have entire career changes in their 30s. A man told me his 50s were his best years. Life is what you make of it, its important to reflect and rebuild yourself to avoid the previous pitfalls.
You literally say you have no willpower or no idea of what you wish to learn. That in itself points to your mental health. You need to get physically active again, let the energy get back to you, and then channel the new found mental energy into trying different jobs and experiences. I can mentor you, literally, I'll do it for free, I've mentored several people into a career.
I've seen your videos enough to know that you need help.

he does, but unfortunately he won't take you up on your offer... some people have been stuck in their ways for so long they've become addicted to their own misery. He has said many times he doesn't want to change and you kinda just have to accept that's the place he's in mentally, until something life changing happens, or some kind of tragedy like a death or drastic change in life circumstances occurs that forces him to confront his pain, he simply won't change. I would hope to be proven wrong by him though!

Some would say that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results.
No disrespect but no one wants to watch a middle aged man sitting in his room talking about nothing for 8 hours straight, I've been a follower since before the girlfriend with kid arc and I mean this in the most positive way possible.
You've a channel of 112k, that's no easy feat. Use it to your advantage and try new things. Try gaming content for example, no, I'm not talking about getting the current biggest game and saying it sucks balls for click bait. Play through chillas art convenience store, tell your stories of how you worked in a Japanese store and do comparisons while playing. Play gas station simulator and compare it to your experiences, play some rage games like bennet foddy or relaxing ones like a little to the left while chatting.
Mix it up a bit, you'll never start making money again by constantly talking about the 2 interesting things you've done in your life.
Like I said, this is constructive criticism, I may come across as a prick but I'm rooting for you 👍 I hope for your sake you change up the channel, earn your watchers back instead of trying to appeal to the ones that want to see you fail.

Life is not carefree, if you dont make money you are at the mercy of your family or spouse, or as you know, homeless... Theres a point in your late 20s when it really hits that you should be building a career.
Nonetheless I appreciate your videos, you've contributed something to the world/society.

You can still go to university and graduate by the time you're 40. Get a teaching degree and study Japanese; that's the only long-term entry into Japan, but also into the rest of Asia where you can teach English at a higher level. As adults, we can't just do things we like if we want to survive and don't have enough money for retirement by age 30. Alternatively, simply stay in the UK, get a random job, or go to trade school.
If you don't want to study in UK, I'd suggest limkokwing university in Malaysia , is a great arts/business school. Enough for you to get a degree, enjoy life in Malaysia CZcams your experiences and at the end being able to get a job anywhere in Asia and not to worry about getting a visa.

Don't give up Daniel! Going to church might help, find ppl to learn from, and maybe get their advice. Like a role model or mentor! for stocks, you could always try Dividend stocks, I don't know much about them, but I've seen ppl make a small amount of money over time on them on YT. Basically you hold stocks that pay you a small amount for having them every once in awhile. Or you could put money into like Savings, or CDs or something and reinvest some of the interest too! (I believe CDs are where you put your money locked in at an interest rate and can't use it for awhile, but it earns interest).
Trying to overcome the lethargy or the feeling of giving up can be a good thing! Persevere! You could get a job and save up money that way for now, invest it or use it to pay down debts!
Going to church is good because you could ask people there who seem to know what they are doing their opinion. Plus the bible has wisdom in it, if it wasn't good, it wouldn't have been around as long as it has been, even historians use it as a source for things to check findings against!

Yes im not comfortable here, living with my gfs parents, taking the worst pay i ever had, almost splitting with my gf,. And such and such. Most of us are average and not really good at any one thing, that’s why it’s called average. We fall in a job and stay there and learn it and do it for as long as we can. Sure, it’s mundane and can be challenging but it pays so that we can have money for stuff.
You say you keep boomeranging back home and then you list the reasons why it happens…no willpower or determination to follow through on anything, but then you ridiculously go on to blame the country. You are your worst enemy. CZcams is the only thing you stick with because it’s fairly easy but it’s getting you nowhere. People who do have a talent still go to school to improve upon it so that they can make it their livelihood.
You’re looking for gold on a sandy beach. This is your life. It won’t change unless your determination changes. Nothing worth having is easy. You give up on putting effort in to videos because they don’t get a ton of views when you do try. Making an effort to succeed is a long-term concept.
Many of us want the best for you and hope that someday you come to the realization that your outlook on work and relationships needs to change to where you can see there are rewards when you put in the continued effort and not just give up because something doesn’t work the first time.
Good luck, Daniel! Keep making these videos please.

There will always be ppl who don’t like your drawings. It’s fine to get feedback but only do something with it if you’re convinced it will improve your work. As an artist, as a rule, listen to criticism but in the end do exactly what you want and if ppl don’t like it, tough shit. I happen to like most of your drawings - the ones I’ve seen. Also, you’re brilliant at doing talks like this.

I've been watching this channel for many years, Daniel's way of life has always intrigued me and I'll keep watching this channel as long as he still does live streams and posts videos. This video here is a true account and catches me emotionally. Other videos or live stream statements might be quite the contrary and I can shake my head about them sometimes. But it doesn't matter, because this is how life is and people deal with it. We all deal with it somehow. Some people rush into careers and become workaholics. Some people get into depression and can't get anything done. And then there is a big spectrum that just has a job of sorts and that's that. I'm 46 now, had my own mental health episode with anxiety (and I'm not using this term loosely, it's a crippling illness that I do not wish on anyone). With age, life does not get easier with getting the energy together to start something new. Opportunities tend to become less because of that. Many people come to somewhat of a stop in their 40s, mentally speaking. They might still function well on the outside, but on the inside they can question their lives thus far and wonder how they might go on. The comments about Daniel's life have always been mostly negative ("Get a job", "Get therapy") and not helpful. People seem to think that he is not aware of those things. Poor parenting and bullying have had it's effects, but he is now 35 and has dealt with it in his own way. There is nothing wrong with figuring out that life is pretty much a s.h.i.t. show and that people suck. And as long as you don't need to confront it (with CZcams income for example), that's great. As long as your parents accommodate you, that's fine too. I don't think there is any shame in that. Down the road, life will have its twists and turns and it might catch up to you. But I personally would not even try to figure out what my "passion" is. I think this "find your true passion" is nonsense. I'd rather sit down, meditate, and realize that I have no clue what I want. I don't need to stress my mind that I have to find that passion. This is mostly mainstream talk from people who have no better ideas themselves. As if so many people would ever have found their passions in life! Very few honestly have, the vast majority is just scraping by. What I rather think is this: when life eventually throws curveballs at you and you HAVE TO act, you will act. You will then get a job, and it might be a low paying one. But that's what it is then. Lots of people without formal education have such jobs. And eventually you will also hit your head over and over again because those jobs do not want free thinkers or people who do not like to be told how to do things. It will most likely be bouncing from one (odd?) job to the next. But that is what it is then. There was so much time to just start with something, but if there was no motivation, endurance, or maybe the parents occasionally kicking one's butt... then that's just what it is. At the same time, doing CZcams is a matter of motivation and endurance. That is why nobody can say that Daniel is lacking that. Daniel, you can't even say it yourself. Still making videos and livestreams everyday is proof how much stamina you really have! I personally think that your YT career is long over, and you might agree, but as long as no other opportunity comes around, then this is what it is. I always feel that you are actively looking around for other stuff to do. You'll be fine, I always cross my fingers for you and everybody else!

Dont look for a biq corporate job unless its lead by somebody you really personally respect and has that sort of hands off approach. Maybe even concept art for fromsoft. Go into tiling, kitchens/bathrooms
    You'll make 6figures a year after 2 years.
You work for yourself, it's light work, indoors not in cold, and clean job.
You'll always have work and your wage will grow.
Out of all the trades, tiling is lowest barrier to entry, easiest work, cleanest, best paid relatively. If you can draw well, you'll be a good tiler, it's precision work, and art in alot of ways.
Apprentice for 1 year , and you can work for yourself afterwards and make 50 u.s. an hour afterwards.
You'll get paid while being a "tiling helper".
You'll get paid while learning and make stupid money afterwards. And on top of that tiling is simple work, not hard to learn At All...
    Best of luck
