    The collaboration is so freshly established that I don’t think there was even a proto at shot, but Spyderco is gonna make a Lamia.
    You’ve probably heard by now, though.

    Can I just say that I love the KnifeCenter joke. It is too damn funny 😆. Great collection I wish I had a Koenig Arius. I have a Chris Reeve Sebenza 31 in Magnacut which fixed the issue I had with them previously being that they used S45VN which I wasn’t a fan of but man it’d be nice to have a Arius to go with it.

    Hey Brian thanks for the update. Last I heard was Richie and Lindy We're coming out to hang out with ya and recommend that yall should check out some of Shurap's YT videos. Justin Kaye Sheldon dude makes some ridiculous Damascus pattern blades And he makes it look stupid easy . Anyway haven't heard much from Richie or Lindy lately I'm guessing they just have the same problem you are busy busy busy.

    Hmmm have you tried a TRM knife? That seems like it might be up your alley :P Plus I'm curious about what they run their 20cv HRC to. Great collection!

    • @tacticalcenter8658
      @tacticalcenter8658 Před rokem +1

      Trm use Peter's heat treat, and its from 61 to 62rc generally. In outpost76 cardboard cut testing 61 didn't do that well, somewhere from low to mid 200ft cut. 62rc cut in the low 300s which is the minimum range it should perform in. For perspective, the protocol that Reate uses, in 60-61rc range 350-400 ft.

    • @ShoutenKen23
      @ShoutenKen23 Před rokem

      @@tacticalcenter8658 Thanks for the info! Always was curious, the data really helps. Interesting that Reate gets 60-61 can preform better than TRM 61 by almost double. I figured the thin geometry of TRM's stuff would help it perform better too. Must be missing something then. Thanks again for the info!

  • @tacticalcenter8658
    @tacticalcenter8658 Před rokem +2

    I like the Koenig craftsmanship, I don't like the design. Some aspects are nice but I wish they made something more my style. And if they use the same designer, it won't be something I prefer. But overall I wish I had one of their knives in a different design. I think they are great at manufacturing from the two ive handled.

    • @transparentknives
      @transparentknives  Před rokem

      Yep design is polarizing for sure. I've grown to like it but I thought it was ugly initially. I think i made myself like it because the quality is so good and there arent many other US options this good

  • @pkennethv
    @pkennethv Před rokem

    Do you think you’ll ever make/put together a “perfect” AD20.5 that you’ll carry & use regularly?
    I was thinking maybe you’re kinda sick of seeing/handling them after doing so maybe reblades, but you’ve got a Bugout in your collection so seems like fair game?

    USA made stuff is in fact often not very good. Specifically if you're looking at things based on value, dollar for dollar, then it's no contest, but even that aside... USA made often just means premium price and mediocre quality. that's just what it is. unless you're buying from small businesses and stuff like that.
