    I always thought it was cool when my dad or my uncle would switch over the tanks and watch the gas gauge go back up at a stop light or whatever. Those were the good days.

    Good to see you again brother. I still got my Clyde I won from you last year, he's perched up on top of my fridgerator awaiting summertime. But I agree with you as for going with a single big fuel tank just to simplify things.

    I'd go one big tank. Less moving parts. I had an 88 F150 and the rear tank didn't work for similar issues. I love the dual tank setup but you could always throw an auxiliary tank with a switch in the bed if you wanted A LOT more range for a bugout situation.

    Just caught your video on the delete egr on your f250. I just bought my f350 dully and somebody only did part of it. So I was wanting to do the full delete. Egr, dummy plugs and pipes. And anything else it needs to be done. Out of all the other videos I watched, you were what I call a straight shooter. No BS straight to the point. And I really respect that. It's about time that someone does just your doing buddy. So I'm really interested in all and any mods you do to your truck. With reason. I bought mine only to a 16000 lbs fifth wheel. But I love driving it. It's a pure power house. I dont all those fancy stuff. Just things that will be good for my truck. Thank you! D Bravo!

    Go with the big single tank. Having the dual tank is cool, for the nostalgia, but they are a pain in the ass to work on. The fuel sending units are trash. Youll be dropping those stupid tanks every few years putting new pumps in em.
    That C6 is a badass Transmission. Youll never break it. The E4OD is just a C6, with an OD, and a computer controlled shift, instead of vacuum controlled shift.
    E4OD is a strong Trans, as long as you get the upgraded planetary gear.
    Id stick with the C6, and just rebuild it. It really isnt that hard to rebuild them.
    When you throw new Axle seals on the truck, make sure you replace the wheel bearings. You will have it opened up anyway, and the year of that truck, it needs new wheel bearings. Make sure you know what rear axle you have. There are 3 different kinds on those trucks. I know from experience, getting the wrong bearings 2 times, before finally figuring out my truck had the "big boy" rear axle.
    I have a 92' F350 4x4 SRW crewcab highboy, with the 351L, C6. You cant squat the sumbitch. Doesnt matter if Im running empty, or dragging 10k lb trailer. Its getting 10mpg. Its weird.
    Ive rebuilt it entirely, but left the body original. It looks like an old dumpy piece of shit, till I start it, and she starts rumbling.

    I ran a sump on my front tank and deleted my rear tank. Sounds like you drive yours as much as mine. Best decision ever. Got rid of all the air in the system. Bought an in frame filter kit and ran brand new lines the whole way up to an earls 7-8psi electric pump. Holler at me and I’ll explain my whole setup. Less than 1k

    Glad to see ya still kicking. I feel you on the hunting videos. I tried that couple times myself. Lot of extra crap to carry with you and still end up missing the best shots. Mother nature's not into retakes either. Definitely go with the 38 gallon conversion. I think you lose the undermount spare tire storage though. Still Less headaches and it's not like you're using it as a long distance hauler. Find Clyde! Never leave a man behind.

    The tanks are cheap but the selector is mad expensive id put one big tank and run like a fass or make your own filter/water seperator setup also they make a kit that you can run OEM 7.3 Powerstroke fuel pumps so you can get rid of the temporary pump under the hood

  • @tdotw77
    @tdotw77 Před 6 měsíci

    Yeah, you been mia for a min. I don't believe you need the 2 tank set-up anymore. That was for driving long distance w\out stopping, which youre not going to be doing. Id say, just put one bigger tank & delete the selector switch, its really not needed. You could also just put a fuel 'transfer' tank in the bed and just use that. Just a standard early superduty 7.3l frame mount bosch pump is more than enogh to supply the proper fuel to that thing, if that other pump isnt good. They're just an inline pump.👌🏻👌🏻🛠️🔧🔩😎🤔
