    Thanks for the explanation how the Landcruiser upgrade occurred Mick. At the Gundagai caravan park they have installed a weigh bridge and for $25 they do a complete weigh and give you a stubbie cooler. Well worth the money. With a 24 and half footer and Landcruiser we were just under the gross vehicle mass. I have always wondered about the dual cab Utes towing big vans. 🤔Cheers Mate

    What a lovely video Mick. Nicely presented camp grounds. Like you say, a credit to the camp operators. All the best to you and Sally for 2024 from New Zealand.

    G'day Mick, good decision to get back within your GCM limits - I think a lot of other people with medium / large caravans would be in for a shock if they put both vehicle & caravan on the plate. All the best and keep up with the videos - don't change your very honest style... 🙂

      Thank you, our GCM has been something that we have always watched but this time it was just too far over to ignore.

    Like that caravan site looked really smart, how much for a pitch, don't tell me it'll be buttons compared to here👍

    I love Angaston, so pretty with the gardens, lawns & flowering trees. Shady trees & arbors are definitely cooler than man made things. Your first port of call also looked nice & peaceful with plenty of wood for the fires in the evening. Those kookaburras would have loved you to cook sausages for them to pinch!! A very nice trip to finish the year on.

    👍 Bonza easy relaxing viewing....know them areas quite well from very earlier escapes, but am not sure if I really enjoy them new establishing areas...but, me being an older ole bloke can sometimes not quite blend...LOL.
    But, in saying that you have rekindled my old adventurous ways...thanks heaps.
    And, so happy your dragged your combination onto that weighbridge.....and able to become a legal nomad...ha ha ha . Just appears is quite a few out there enjoying daily travels and not understanding the legal ramifications in not knowing/or caring. Wishing all an easy safe education of such.
    Seasons Greetings for my most favourite bloggers....Mick & Sally... Love you guys heaps...Cheers and will enjoy more in 2024.🌞

      Thanks, we had visited the weigh bridge on a regular basis over time but the weights eventually won the day. All the very best to you for the New Year, don't party too hard😄

    Great video as always! Hoping to be able to explore SA a bit more next year! Sorry to hear you had to change your tow vehicle after all the work you had done on it. We also changed our tow vehicle to an Iveco Daily, certainly no worries regarding weights now! As they say better to be safe than sorry!! Have a great New Year.

    • @justcruisinwithmicksally837
      @justcruisinwithmicksally837  Před 8 měsíci

      There are so many great locations to visit in SA and all within a close distance from each other, we are so lucky. Weights are an issue with a lot of set ups but we must be legal when out on the road.

      I do miss the truck driving to be honest. For the last eight years I did Adelaide to Darwin each week and never felt like not wanting to go to work on any given week. All the best to you for the New Year.

    Hey Guys , how are you liking the jump from the Collie to the 200? I have just done the same thing, though my Collie was a 2018 Z71 and my Cruiser is a 2014 VX with all the fruit. I’m still under my GVM/GCM with the Collie but getting close with less than 300 kg to play with. The VX I bought had a 2nd stage GVM of 3580 kg but I’m changing it to a 4000 kg Lovells GVM and GCM of 7300 so will have plenty spare now..

    • @justcruisinwithmicksally837
      @justcruisinwithmicksally837  Před 4 měsíci +1

      The VX is great but we do miss the canopy set up. Nothing like a V8 to roll up and down these Tassie hills.

    Love the new bus Mick, not quite the old road train but probably a lot more comfortable. definitely going to have to visit the Chocolate factory, didn't know they had a restaurant and lake there. Are you going to do some getaways on Eyre Peninsula? don't know a lot about it and not a lot about caravan parks over there. Cheers mate.

      @justcruisinwithmicksally837  Před 8 měsíci +1

      We are heading to Tassie Feb 16th next year for three months. Once we are home in May we will work out some new travel plans which hopefully will include the Eyre Peninsula for sometime in the second half of the year.

      The Colorado was everything that we wanted, just wasn't up to being able to handle the weight. Hope you had a great Christmas and all the best for the New Year. I gave away the road trains 6 months ago due to my back no longer being able to take the time in the truck. I also went onto new medication which made me very tired, no good for night driving.

    Just quick question, we have recently bought new van with toilet and shower, which loo paper does everyone recommend?

    • @justcruisinwithmicksally837
      @justcruisinwithmicksally837  Před 8 měsíci +1

      We personally have had caravans with a toilet now for over twenty years and have always used the same paper without issue as we use at home.

      Bigger on the road but heaps more power to tow with. The Colorado was our preferred set up but we will make do with the Landcruiser.🙂

    Be carefull Mick the GCM does not change with a GVM upgrade. you could be still over GCM i,d just check it out.

    • @justcruisinwithmicksally837
      @justcruisinwithmicksally837  Před 8 měsíci

      Not all vehicle are able to have a GVM and a GCM upgrade, our Colorado was such a vehicle as it could only have a GVM upgrade done to it.
      Toyota 200 Series Landcruisers are one vehicle that allow both a street legal GVM and a GCM upgrade to be done on the vehicle.
      Not sure where you have got your info from, but it sounds as if you have been miss informed. Thanks for the heads up though.
