- "La Paloma" sung by Victoria de los Angeles, one of the greatest voices of the 20th century, with original Spanish lyrics and English translation. One of the most popular songs of all time.
- Hudba
My late Grandmother used to sing it to my late Father. Now I listen to it and play it for my Two BEAUTIFUL daughters.
Thanks for sharing the file. Stay safe everyone.
Her voice simply caresses the listener; it is a present from Heaven!
No doubt, this the best interpretation of the famous La Poloma.
And this is only interpretation covering full text of the song. The other singers change or avoid part of lyrics with the regious aspects.
Never found this song sang with the full text.
God bless Yradier and Victoria de Los Angeles.
Thank you for the post.
Finally, the most perfect and divine interpretation of this most beautiful old Spanish song. I've heard it all my life but this is the most beautifully sung!
La Paloma never sings so good Thank You
It doesn't get much better than this rendition of the most popular song in the history of music.
My grandmother's favorite song, and one that her daughter, my mother, would hum to me when I was a child. :). Beautifully sung by the angelic de los Angeles.
Grandios und unvergleichlich.
La Paloma...... is the best Spanish love song in many languages.....
it's a americana love song.
@@edmundooliver7584 shut up, ignorant beast!
@@edmundooliver7584 No, It is a spanish european song, composed by Sebastián de Yradier.
@@antoniocuencadelrio2044 yes, but he wrote it in the America's about seen a native and spanish girl mix for the first time. a Guachinanga.
@@edmundooliver7584 Ok, nontheless is still spanish.
don't think I've ever heard anything more beautiful!
A divine song from 19th century Spain, written by Iradier. And sung by the Spanish soprano Victoria de los Angeles (in english Victoria of the Angels). You cant not be more divine with such a name@
A Divine Song and a Divine singer one of the greats!
One of Victoria's several great songs. What a great voice ! What a great song ! What a great combination !
This may be my favorite song.Such a voice,so clear,so sweet.
All what has been said is so true, such a beautiful song and voice .
Another great Spanish singer.....
By far the best version I have heard of this classic. It was composed by Sebastian Yradier after returning from a trip to Cuba.
My "go to" version has always been Placido Domingo, but this one is much more beautiful (to my taste). Maybe because it was always my mother singing it and not my father. Thank you for allowing me discover it!
A perfect soprano. Maravillosa. Perfecto!
Beautiful !! Her voice, the music !
Omg, the best Soprano voice ever.
Fabulous!!
The best version ever and a great voice!
ppc
Evviva Victoria de los Angeles! The greatest spanisch singer ever. A charm never to be matched again. And La Paloma is just a dream the way she sings it. Makes me think about the unfortunate emperor Maximiliano of Mexico and his wife Mama Carlota.....Angela Peralta, I think, was the first one to sing this beautiful melody.....
Una gran soprano, inolvidable, única e irrepetible.

There is such sensitivity, sensuality! & much more in this interpretation that raises this charmer to the level of art song. What a charmer, artist, VOICE was Victoria! How to get over her? No way. Just enjoy being charmed to death. Missing her terribly.

this is one of my favorite song,I love this song
Me he quedado perplejo al escuchar El arreglito 😂

beautiful voice
Beautiful! Thanks for posting.
Sehr schön.
27 Mar 2015. The genre was auguring in Cuba, La Paloma could have been written on a ship’s voyage back to Spain by Sebastian Yradier, where the pulse of the waves kept this motif casting about. Montsalvatge similarly brought it back to his Catalonia, where it thrives, to this day. BIzet used El Arreglito note for note into his Carmen’s. L’amour est un oiseau rebelle, This simple, elegant tune then took flight, as La Paloma, and spread itself throughout the world. Today, one of the most covered songs a la the Beatles’ Yesterday. So what is music? A mysterious elixir.

Hermosa voz!!!
There are those who say that her voice is too sweet and sugary...perhaps they are too sour and vinaigary. Truly lovely, could someone sing me to sleep with this every night. Thank you to emartlop.
Tonight, as the moon rises silver above the sea,
I long for the harbour where you wait for me,
Do you, for I know you sorrow when we're apart,
I wish I could send a messenger from my heart.
Then you may find a dove waiting at your window,
Singing a song of love to you at your window,
Let it come in and there as it flies above you,
Know that it's heart is mine and it sings I love you.
Let your sorrow take wings,
Let your heart ever sing love,
As you cherish the memory of our love,
That a dove may bring.
Then you may find a dove waiting at your window,
Singing a song of love to you at your window,
Let it come in and there as it flies above you,
Know that it's heart is mine and it sings I love you.
I'm afraid that's not the translation of this song -if that's what you meant.
nice
Exquisite.
