I was 34 when bluebird came out. I can’t express how impactful this song was/ is to me! At the age of 34 I had so much loss. I experienced my second miscarriage, my grandma whom I saw through death at 100 years old I cared for and was very close to, two of my dogs we had 10+ years, two of his grandparents within the year and his brother ( add one more year make it two) . I then experienced my worst nightmare my husband and best friend since high school was riding his motorcycle to work and was struck by a buck and was left with life threatening injuries and airlifted to a hospital out of state. Months went by unknowing if he would ever wake up or come back to is. I had a 3 year old daughter and also had just found out we were pregnant again and had no idea how I could continue but this song and some new found religion truly helped me keep going. I love your songs and wish so badly to one day meet you in concert. I adore your music and thank you so much for putting music out there for the truly bad days to keep positive. It’s all you have!!

Not really a question, but my daughter lost her dad about a year and a half ago. She has really latched onto this song. She said her daddy is the bluebird in her heart. She also really loves Over You, when we saw you in concert in New Orleans in October we both sang along to Over You in tears because it was such a special moment for us. My daughters name is Makenna and she adores your music. Thank you for music and for being an inspiration for women.

I know you're pain except my two daughters lost they're father this last January makes 5 years ago and my heart goes out to you both. @@lunamccenzy5979 there are many good ones! From the earlier days, patsy cline was fantastic for a strong female voice in country music. Of course there was (and is) Rosanne Cash, Emelou Harris, Tammy Wynette, Loretta Lynn, Trisha Yearwood, Reba McIntyre, and many many others. And these are just some of the great female country performers from the top of my mind! I’d definitely say that Miranda took some inspiration, and more modern performers should do the same.
Her performance at last night's Grammys was wonderful. Really like this song.

I used to work as a community nurse that did hone visits. Those that did well focused on the moment and not what is/could be. Even palliative- given 3 months. The wife was super focused on the date.i said the date is someones opinion and just that but your hubby can still have a good life without treatment. He lived 1.5 years, it was a devestating cancer but he lived as though he didnt up until 2 weeks she thanked me later for being calm and saying we dont know what tomorrow is but you can still live and no one can say the time left, never ask. Who knows tomorrow. I have walked those in remission and those to the gate. I will tell you this and this is true. Your mindset will determine your path and you are the leader. If its time, its time no matter what the docs said (seen it) or its not and you pave your own (walked many through that). Know your body and have the mindset and live it. You are in control. Set backs are just that, a step back. Dont give them the volume. Walked many back to a new life. Best of luck my friend. ❤ mind is what matters

Some wonder about the song meaning. And when I first heard it, it made me think of happiness. Aka the bluebird of happiness. And in my opinion she is saying no matter what, when life gives me lemons, I'm gonna mix them in my drink, she's basically saying that I'm going to keep that bluebird in my heart. In other words I'm going to choose to be happy, no matter what life throws at me! I'm going to put a smile on my face, I'm going to bounce back! Just my thoughts. Well stated and thank you...I just lost my mother to pancreatic cancer and my daughter and I cared for her to the end..,Faith, Family, and Friends. There is a garden at her home with family members stones on them...a great person and great life. But my next and final better half has been with all of us past two years. Some things and times are lemons, others lemonade! Seeing a bluebird at the bird feeder made me think of this.
