Real estate agent dont make a salary they make a comission

when you join a firm or exp do you get access to MLS or is that out of pocket?
Out of pocket
Everything is pretty much out of pocket.
You're an independent contractor, not an employee ( when you're an agent )
So you pay for MLS, Supra Or SentriLock ( which is the lockbox that Agents use to store the key for other agents or buyers to see )
If you're a part of the NAR ( National Association Of Realtors ) Thats also a fee.
You're essentially paying a grand in fees every year.
Then if your firm has you pay for the E&O Insurance, Thats another fee which is 599 itself a year.
Sounds like a lot but, if you sell or buy one property for your clients, you pay that all off and have money in your pocket.
