BEST DAY ON A BIKE?

- A few weeks back we got invited to Jerez in Spain for the Yamaha Racing Heritage event.
i knew it we be cool but this event serious blew my mind. Honestly it was one of my best ever days out on the bike ever.
I wish I had enough money to have been there. I'm 61 years old and my dream would be to come to an event like that. I have enjoyed road racing since I was a child. Freddie Spencer, Eddie Lawson and Wayne Rainey were my hero's, so to see those old bikes gets my blood pumping. Thanks, Johnny, for sharing and let's see the prince of Portimão put on a show this weekend.
Get to irish classic bike festival at bishops court next year its just over and is a fantastic event

Same here. I'm a little bit younger than you but I grew up watching since around '85 and have the same heroes, Mamola being my favorite rider of all time. I would have LOVED to have been at an event like this.

Good to see one positive from the move to Yamaha. Best of luck for the rest of the SBK season, there were moments in Portimao where it looked like you might be moving toward the podium. I look forward to seeing you back on top.

With direct injection and turbo/supercharging they actually dont smoke much at all. Modern ecu's can control thinks fast enougj now to run 500bar fuel.pressure on diesels. So yeah they should. Id bet itd be not much more polluting than the air frieght etc world championships could reduce via scheduling logically. So yeah lets do 2strokes pinnicle prototype racing engines free minus capacity. Keep chassis aero rules in check but let Bmw, honda, yamaha, ducatti, ktm, aprillia race to build the best 2 stroke EVER in mans history. Im down 4 that

Dude so cool. It makes me wana dig out the 1965 kawa and get the 2stroke going.i learned that Rea on Joey Dunlops, Mervyn Robo's bikes was relation. Makes SO MUCH sense now. Legendary family up in ireland. Glad alpt of my ancestory and dna is from up north

Popped into Crescent the other day, easily the best dealership I've ever set foot in in 17 years of riding! Spent a while chatting with the staff, and such passion for what they do - also heard all about this event and how it was killer 40+ degrees heat!
