One thing that Tom Holland does that none of the other spiderman's did, was his ability to act amazed at little things. Bets example the metal arm scene from civil war. He just gives that youthful exuberance that you expect from a young peter parker.

Andrew was more of a new character. Skateboarding cool hipster, would definitely have a happy, more social life without having powers which is kinda odd for Spiderman's character. Was a fresh take and I liked it as well but I just love the 2 on top more, just because they resemble the comics so much.
There is always a chance for Spider-Verse movie, or simply a take on the Old Spiderman with a "Spider-Armor", where Tobey can come back.
Hey I don't know if it would work or not and I haven't read any of the Spider-verse stories, but I think he would have been a good UK Spider-man. Yeah you can just have him keep the British accent this time.

This might be an unpopular opinion but Tom Holland is definitely my favorite Spiderman so far! He just seems to actually have that humility and modesty and the right amount of wide-eyedness that Peter Parker needs! You kinda believe that he is that smart but gullible working class high school kid from the Queens, And his American accent is great.
Also, the fact that he is Actually a teenager helps too!

I read something where some one said “Toby McGuire played a good Peter Parker, Andrew Garfield played a good Spider-Man, but Tom Holland is good at both.” and it spoke to me on another lever! I couldn’t agree more! He just fits the role. I was very into Spider-Man as a kid, and Toby McGuire was my Spider-Man so I could never really get into Andrew Garfield as Spidey, but Holland blows it out of the water! He is an amazing actor!

I admit that whilst I am sad that Andrew Garfield didn't get to reprise his role for Spider-Man, Tom Holland has done an amazing job. I only wish they had kept his origin story from The Amazing Spider-Man and somehow found a way to bring that into the MCU.
I think the Tobey Maquire movies are better in general, but Tom definitely channels the original spirit and attitude of Spider-Man better than any of them.

Just your standard typical story of how a big Hollywood corporation like Sony keeps interfering with the creative work of some very passionate artists. Garfield was living his dream being Spider-Man but thanks to the many failings of Sony as a film studio it led to the franchise being killed off and replaced with this new one.
I guess it did turn out to be a good thing. We might not even have Tom's Spider-Man or Tom's Spider-Man would have started out older if that series didn't end. It's just too bad TASM series didn't get a proper conclusion.
