“Well, it’s durable…” 😂😂😂. Both of those look like real nice units. Thanks for sharing Rick.
When a WIF is 60f, managers will say it just happened 30minutes ago 😂
Every Time! 😅
😂
It is helpful and informative to have you walk us through the process that leads to your conclusion. Thank you for work to educate.
Thanks Jay!
Hahaha Ahhh man I was dying when you tried sticking that laser to the wall
I figured what better test then to do a drop test. I’m sure the manufacturer was really impressed but guess what it worked.🤣🤣
Good job Rick, you can't win all of them, but you can try your best.........
🇺🇸👍💪❄️ I had a walk-in freezer call late afternoon on Friday. Similar in that I had to find the right condensing unit since the roof was full of them. Great vid thanks
If there's multiple walk-in condensers and none of them are running, shut off the evaporator in question and force all other walk-ins to call for cooling. Then just go back to the roof and check for the one that's not running. Just remember to raise the setpoint back up for the other walk-ins once you identify the right condenser.
@jin8684 thanks for the info appreciate it
Love it!! You wasn’t alone. 🤟
@@jin8684great info 👍👍
Great video, Rick. Did you lose that thing that keeps doors open. I've seen it on your MB3 but not the MB5B. Man, I love that bag. I took off the back back stuff, though. I run it on a small hand truck in NYC. Now the MB3 is for IMs and calls that i can access the truck and not wait 30 minutes for a service elevator.😂
No but they get sun rot and break. It’s not good to keep them in the sun.
Wow all those nice tools that make your job easier and fun. I’m retired we measured and calculated in our notepads
Yes they do, I don’t use it often but it makes it fast
Another great video Rick. I really enjoy your refrigeration videos. I do the same thing with my MB5B straps. Hope you had a good Father's day!
It’s been a great day today. I went to Michigan to ride off-road with both my kids. Thanks for your support! People like you keep me doing it.
Rick, great information !
🙏👍👍🤜🤛
Happy Father's Day, Rick.
thanks bro
Got to love than conduit all over the ground
Oh of course, that’s how everyone does it 🤣🤣👍👍
Good job Rick. Change out that piece of junk.
Great video. Thank you for sharing., Have a nice weekend
Thank you! You too!
I would have sold them the parts. Both were bad and you needed to replace them to come to your final diagnosis and your future customer should not have those parts installed on their equipment. That evap was in good shape cosmetically for its age. Hopefully they buy a new condensing unit, that isn't worth fixing IMO
Isn't like they were used for a few days or weeks. They're still good as new. Besides nobody's going to know. I used parts for diagnostics purposes and had to take them back out and don't feel guilty about selling them to someone else. A board is a different story though but even then it was only on for a few minutes.
@@natepeterson7145 I would say they're not as good as new. The compressor was locked up causing excessive current through the relay and the nobody's gonna know excuse is not the type of attitude I would let my men get away with. But hey you do you. Im glad your not servicing my equipment .
Happy Father's day Rick
Thanks Jason. It was great, yesterday me and both kids went off-roading.
What’s your thought on a super boost in a situation like that?I haven’t used one but seen them on a couple units. Great channel terrific training
If price is an issue I'll use it on a residential unit, but you can't just get rid of a hard start for one on a refrigeration unit. If you're talking about like the three and one, I have not seen one big enough for a system like this, they usually only go up to half a horse.
Thanks for the video
With the CIGMAN distance finder, if you point it at the moom how accurate is the distance reading?
Thanks.
Thanks! Did you mean the moon ? 🤔 the range is limited😄
um you said power was coming in from the bottom then in the end you pulled the live ones off and left them floating with no caps ? . was there another breaker inside ?
I miss spoke . Power was at the top.
Great videos Rick, these units should be replaced seeing how old they are
👍
What no Annie?
Debated it. You can do 230 V with it, but I’m a little more leery with that set up. It surely would’ve made it go a lot faster, but I had no idea. I was gonna end up where I was at. I definitely wasted a lot of time for nothing, not that I intended that.
Sales guy? I suppose this is a benefit of working for a big company. I'm the sales guy, secretary, service manager, lead technician, parts guy, ...
We have about 115 people total. Even at companies with 30 people we had dedicated estimators
Incredible. I'd love to have a large company. Service calls are plentiful, but commercial food service equipment and commercial refrigeration repair require talent, education, and experience . This town of 100,000 population lacks commercial technicians. It seems residential installers are a dime a dozen in any area. I don't advertise residential, nor actively service anything residential . .. I really enjoy all your videos. Thank you
Why do people say acrossT?
That’s probably not what I said? That doesn’t make sense to me?
Love your videos..not criticism at all. Re watch and youve said it in other videos. Its not only you ive heard it from lots of ppl before. I wonder if it was a phonic of how you were taught in school? Always wondered why some people say it like that is all. Happy fathers day
7 thumbs uP
