Should You Buy The New 2022 Can-Am Ryker?

- In this video, I go over my thoughts on the 2022 Can-Am Ryker lineup that should be rolling onto Showroom floors in the next few months. Should you upgrade from your current Ryker? Is it worth buying a 2022 Can-Am Ryker over a used 2021 or older? It depends a little on what you intend to do with your Ryker, but either way this Ryker is a welcome edition to the Can-Am family.

Great video! And yes, show us the 30 minute one!! 🙏🤩
As usual, I think you’re spot on with your perspectives. I would be really interested in the half hour breakdown video comparison you created though! Thanks for the continuously great content!
Thank you! I’ll be releasing it later this week since people seem to be interested!
Awesome video...Just waiting for the phone call from the dealer telling me my 2022 Ryker Rally is here! Yeah, I know, I'll be waiting until Feb or March. I can still be excited for it.
The time is getting near man!
Nice video, good points. Thanks for the info. Many blessings
Glad it was helpful!
Found your channel a couple of weeks ago and finally picked up my 2022 Ryker 900 ACE this past weekend. I'm still in the break in period so I've not done much besides ride it but it has been well worth it. My local dealership cannot keep them in stock so I'm happy I ordered it when I did.
Welcome aboard! Nothing wrong with riding it stock! I'd always rather spend more time on it than more money on it!
I’m dreaming about getting a Ryker. Ive enjoyed listening to your videos while I prep my bbq at the restaurant. New subscriber!
Well I hope you enjoyed it enough to let a brotha get some barbecue when I’m in town!
I am trying to decide if this is something I am interested in I would love the deep dive video
2022 RyKER sport was a great purchase!!
First time CanAm owner and I am very pleased with their product
Awesome, enjoy it!
Since I don't have one yet , I was going to get the Sport version . But after thinking about it I can upgrade to better shocks (Elka's) , get the cruise control and the Max Mount for close to that price by purchasing the base 900 . The wheels and seat on the Sport are good but not enough to make me choose it along with the shocks they put on it . I've been riding motorcycles for 50 years so this will be just something different then the norm for me .
Yeah, the sport is a little harder sell for me, especially if you like with modding things yourself. But if the extra money is no object it’s definitely a nice place to start.
Love the channel. Order is in.
Ride on
I bought my 2021 rally this past spring, have done a bunch of mods to it, I am very happy with the bike, although i would like cruise control I don't think its going to be worth trading .
I would be interested in seeing your detailed look at the 2022.
Thanks
mike
Canada
Thanks as always Mike, hoping to ride one for the channel this month!
It’s not only cruise control, there lot more!
I had the 2021 now have the 2022. The new suspension is really nice, rides smoother, and you can dial in the front suspension to your liking. The front ajustable suspension makes a big difference imo, I don't even feel the need to change the end links compared to the previous ones. Also the seat is sooo much more comfortable, i can ride on it all day without any fatigue. Cruise control .. awesome ! Glad i went for it, worth it for me.
I'm a new rider. Thank for the information needed to no were to go for a one
Glad I could help!
I have a 2015 Canon spider RS I was thinking to trade it in for Riker 900 sport should I stay with what I got trade for a new one
After working with the build your own app on the Can-AM website and seeing what I'd be looking at money wise after adding all options I'm interested in, a new Rally will fall around $16,500. For a bit more I could get an F3. Would I have dirt back road capability? No, but I would have better sport touring capability. So, I'm torn now as to which way to go. Leaning toward either a second hand Ryker or a new F3.
I know exactly what you mean but I am going to go ahead and get me one should be here in February or March Ryker rally 2022🤪🤗
Yeah it’s a hard choice at that price I paid closer to 11k for my used Ryker Rally a couple years back. Great value! Still interested in some of these updates though.
I would definitely love that cruise control...but I'm like you, for what I paid for my bike, I don't think I can justify spending a lot more for a 2022.
Nope, plus I imagine 2023 could be a bigger leap forward
Interesting video. I’m thinking about buying a 2022 Ryker Rally but I have a question, Does anybody know whether the 2022 Ryker Rally has a sport Mode? The 2022 spec sheet appears to only mention the ECO mode and the Rally Mode.
Hopefully I’m going to test one out in the next month!
No they got rid of the sport mode for the 2022 rallys
I do not like the white rims on the new Ryker at all!! Other than that I like the new lineup. Enjoyed the video
The white rims are retro cool though man!
I think if you have an existing Rally, haven’t done much or anything to it, and can get a deal on a trade then I’d go for it. The new additions are pretty great. The cruise control alone would be nice because I feel like I’d be less tempted to upgrade to a more expensive trike just to get it. The other parts are just icing on the cake. If they could figure out a Max Mount for the solo comfort seat, that’d be even better.
Agreed, it could be a good deal for some. I'm definitely happy with the upgrades they've made though.
Trust me, you won't get anywhere near what you paid on trade. I traded in my 2019 Ryker 600 with 3,000 miles in 2020. Max I could get was $5800.
Nice Video. I spoke about whether or not I would trade my Ryker Rally for a 2022 on my channel as well.
Are you still considering trading for the 2022?
@@VinCode17, no sir. I would add it to the fleet if I got one, but I'm not trading my 2020. I love it too much.
@@BlakICE i feel you on that.
Hello! We have a pair of can am ryker handguards, and we are now looking for someone to test it for us. Are you interested?
I plan on getting a 2022 Ryker Rally 900, though this late in the year I am curious if I should wait for the 2023's. (I do know about the bolt recall I will talk to the dealership about first).
Well you won’t have to wait long to get more info, in theory they are announcing the new lineup next week.
Rally 2022 comes in February. I'm already dreaming about it...
Me too boss!
Thx for the vid Khalid.
I am new to the Ryker family here and I plan on buying a brand new 2021 900 Rally edition which is available at my local dealer. Now, I just see a 2022 Ryker Sport for the same price with new features but no Rally. And I am now have a hard time choosing between a 2021 Rally edition or a 2022 Sport? I never own a Can am before. Please advice what model I should buy. Thx and Happy Thanksgiving bud.
Well, I decided and got 2021 Rally edition last couple week which save me $2k over the new model. Because I don't see I will need cruise mode + other new features on new model. And I like the bike so far.
Glad you’re enjoying it man, stay safe and Happy Holidays!
Do they make a passenger model
I would like to see the expanded video
Thank you, I’ll probably release it later this week then
Just got a 2019 Ryker 900 Rally (new, just used in Can-Am classes) and can't wait for Spring and Summer!
I mean, I'm still going to ride it in the cold (especially once I get my windshield and hand wind guards), but it will be so much nicer in warm weather!
I can't see spending the 3000 extra for a 2022 just for cruise control, even if you are riding hundreds of miles, but I will probably only do trips of 100-200 miles each way, and honestly, I am a little dubious of cruise control on any motorcycle. :)
Yeah, I just moved to a little colder climate, so I just need to invest in more cold weather riding gear. All of my stuff is geared toward Florida hot weather riding. Hopefully, I'll have a better handle on that before next Winter. As far as the new Rykers go, the new features are nice, just not sell my current Ryker nice!
I’d be interested to hear if you ever go in and try out a ‘22 Rally. See if you can tell the differences. We now have 2 of them, and yes, the cc is a big difference, as well as it rides higher, so taking it off-road is great fun. Enjoy the wind!
@@Twinzma Well, my 'New' 2019 Rally is so powerful, I'm not sure I will need an upgrade soon. I haven't tried it off-road in Rally mode yet though. It's mainly a utility/commuter bike now. I am working on adapting the Max Mount to accommodate an aftermarket large trunk so I can carry cargo/groceries, thus allowing me to eschew my SUV (Lexus RX400h) for most errand runs.
(You should post some videos as well! 😀 )
Also, I would be interested in anyone wishing to do group trips. I am not averse to long road trips, even just to meet up!
@@Twinzma I'm working on demoing one soon for a video, I am geniuinely curious on how the improvements on paper translate to real life. But, I'm glad y'all are enjoying the 22 Rykers. There is no doubt that they are a nice addition to the lineup.
Love from DeKalb Mississippi USA USA 🇺🇸
Just bought the new ryker 900 sport yesterday... can't wait to get it hopefully Feb or March... Super Excited.. can't wait to ride.
Hope you'll come back and share you experiences with us!
So I am currently looking to purchase a used rally. Any insight on what is too many miles to purchase?
I personally would try and get something within warranty regardless of miles since you can extend the BRP BEST warranty for years for that piece of mind.
If just looking for the least cash spent up front, maybe less than 5k miles. Just depends on your budget.
I love my 2019 900 ace. I going to try to hold on to mine. First year of the Ryker, might be worth something down the line. My next canam will be the f3.
Both amazing machines!

Just wondering, do you need a specific license in order to drive a can am ryker? I been interested in getting one.
Depends on where you live. In GA and Florida you need at least a 3-Wheel motorcycle license.
What's considered high mileage on a motorcycle I'm thinking of buying a can am?
Anything over 20k would be fairly high for me, but these engines will last a lot longer than that. Just needs to be properly maintained.
@@3WheelKhalil ok thanks
For someone like me who is paraplegic, I can so i hope i can experience it i rode like that
It’s been cool to see a couple of folks I know with disabilities modify these Rykers to suit them. It’s really a solid platform for that.
I bought a 2022 Can Am Ryker 600(which I won't get until next year obviously).......never owned a bike before.......was it worth it?
It’ll be worth it man, enjoy!
I have a 2021 600ace and I love it…..they not as fast as the 900 or rally but it what’s comfortable for you!
@@chrisjackson5107 Exactly man, I enjoyed riding the 600, that engine has its own distinct feel too.
How much does it cost to fill your tank if you don't mind me asking 🤔 also how many miles can u drive after filling ?
Usually a little less than $20 to fill up and about 150 miles per tank
@@3WheelKhalil hey thanks for answering me! That's not bad tho, I've been wanting a can am for so long but these Ryker series really makes it reachable for me. Before the can am was like 30k and I would think to myself maybe one day, but something like this makes me think I really can get one now! I only work maybe 5 miles from home and I'm thinking I can even come to work sometimes with it
@@michaelmarquez6133 I know the feeling! I grew up wanting a Can-Am Spyder for years.
But then the Ryker came along and let me experience it way earlier than I would have if I had to wait until I could afford a Spyder comfortably. It’s been a blast!
Honestly I think you should trade in or sell yours to get new one worth it!
We will see! I don't think the value proposition will line up for me, but I'm hoping to test one out soon.
I bought a 2022 Ryker 600. Was very excited to get my Ryker finally. I had save up for years. I had my Ryker for 1 week and only 15.4 miles on it. The rear wheel stared rattling/clunking. I took it back to the dealership and was told this normal. If it was normal why didn't rattle when I first road it. I have called BRP numerous times and they refuse to resolve the problem. I have asked Ryker owners if the had the problem and called other dealership and they have said they have heard of noise in the rear wheel base. 🙄
Unfortunately, I can't say I've experienced that one. But I know that sucks, buying my Ryker was a big purchase for me too. I've had good luck working with BRP while still under warranty, but ymmv. May want to try taking it to other dealerships to get the service done.
It is worth the money for a F 3 to upgrade
From a previous F3? I didn't see many substantial changes in this model year. But from a Ryker to an F3? Yes, if you like longer distance riding and or ride with a passenger often.
Is the sway an issue
Not for me, maybe for some at high speeds
Cell phone, really?
The new Rally wheels are the ugliest wheels I've ever seen. I want a 2022 Rally but the wheels killed it for me. Sport it is.
Those white wheels are ugly af. And why would you want white on something that is geared for off-roading🙄
The wheels are inspired by Rally racing like the WRC. They say it is easiest to spot cracks on white wheels which is one of the reasons they are used widely in the sport.
Matter of opinion. I thought i would powder coat mine but after i received the bike, i really like them. Much nicer in person. Of course it's only my opinion also.
