Seemingly fearless, giving and receiving affection…of course this is before Lennon’s murder outside the Dakota which changed things for celebrities. But there definitely was something palpable even over the internet in that room and it can be felt 45 years since EP’s death. The man just had something that no one else had. Every time I watch this clip I think of him saying that no one is going to remember him. And here I sit in 2022 and I just keep watching it over and over again this evening because his singing of the song is so wonderful and his walk through is so extraordinary that it’s mesmerizing.

He was murdered by all the doctors that kept furnishing drugs for him. Not by any single person. But he did take his own life. He was not thinking straight, the drugs had taken their effect. His mind was not thinking of God, his mother, or brother. The devil through the drugs had captured him long enough to get him to commit suicide.

Me too sweetie. I was 3 years old when I first heard him sing on a record. Ever since then I've been a huge fan. My bedroom was covered in pictures of him and I was blessed to see him in concert 3 times in life. 1st when I was 6 years old, then 8 years old, then 10 years old. All concerts were I Greensboro NC. Absolutely the highlight of my life. Ow 2023.... And I still listen to his music and watch videos of him. It brings me so much joy!!!!
