  • Star Wars' Beskar VS The MCU's Adamantium And Vibranium
    Subscribe: bit.ly/Subscribe-to-CBR
    Is there anything fans love more than debates about random aspects of fictional universes? That’s a trick question because we all know the answer is a resounding no. While we’ve had many fights where we pitted heroes against heroes, we will now determine which is the greatest metal in the pop culture universe. We’ve managed to narrow everything down to three of the most popular in fandom history. Those would be Beskar from the Star Wars universe, as popularized by The Mandalorian, Vibranium from the MCU as popularized by Black Panther and the Captain America films and Adamantium from the X-Men series as popularized by every single time Wolverine had a rampage.
    As far as Beskar is concerned, we’ll cover what may be the most sought after metal in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian has gone to great lengths to show not only the physical value of Beskar but the spiritual value it has to Mandalorians as well.
    Then we’ll cover Vibranium, the signature weapon of Wakandans and Captain America. This incredibly versatile metal from a meteor that dropped on Africa changed Wakanda and the world forever. Until Thanos showed that it wasn’t quite as powerful as we thought.
    Finally, we’ll cover Adamantium from the old X-Men film series. It may have been awesome when Wolverine used it, but how much do we count off for that terrible Adamantium bullet?
    Let’s find out which of these is the best as we pit Beskar, Vibranium and Adamantium against each other!

    Adamantium is actually VERY heavy. The reason Logan is able to hold it so easily is because of super strength and his regeneration factor. Take Lady Deathstrike, after Logan filled her body with Adamantium and she fell in the tank, you can hear a very obvious *thunk* sound when she hits the floor

    Beskar can withstand lightsaber attacks, showing that it doesn't vaporize or melt easily. It took the Darksaber several seconds of contact before the beskar spear even started to glow red. This means that beskar can dissipate heat at an incredibly high rate. A material like that can be used for many applications. Id say that's worth an extra half versatility point, make it an even tie with Vibranium

      @banaanbosse2565 Před 3 lety +14

      I think vibranium would be the weakest, but it's way more versitile mostly because it can be woven into a suit and virbanium heals itself, i mean, Cap's shield may have been cut in half by an Uru blade wielded with Hulk like strength, but by the end of the film it had already healed itself back! How does it do that?! But no I think Beskar is strongest, although I know litterally nothing about it because i have not seen the mandalorian, but damn that stuff must be strong! And Adamantium is just stupid because it's named after diamonds... I get that diamonds are like one of the strongest things there are but.. I mean really? But then still Uru metal is missing in this equation so this whole video was fun but pointless.

    how is vibranium the strongest when adamantium can cut through vibranium

  • @emberparadox458
    @emberparadox458 Před 3 lety +259

    The MCU actually screwed up one big thing about Cap's shield and basically re-wrote vibranium and its properties entirely. When vibranium was first introduced it was tough, but it wasn't anywhere near adamantium strong and that toughness came from the fact that it could absorb and disperse vibrations better than anything else. Cap's shield was actually a blend of vibranium AND adamantium which is why it was so indestructible. However, Marvel didn't have the rights to use adamantium when the MCU first started since Fox still held them, so they basically had to completely retcon vibranium's properties in order to essentially turn it into admantium. With the Black Panther movie, that got further morphed into one giant McGuffin so the writers could basically turn it into a magical substance that can do pretty much whatever the plot needs it to do. The only real challenge for this one is Beskar vs Adamantium and since they're in different fictional universes we'll never really get a good answer for it.

      @@veenakiran4316 think about this Thor's hammer is made of the same material as thanos sword but it didn't break the shield what broke the shield is the fact that it's a cutting edge also thanos's strength played a factor in it as well also if Thor had stormbreaker when he originally struck the shield it would have chopped it in half and killed cap right then and there

    I mean, a lightsaber is basically a handheld sun and the fact that Beskar can withstand that with ez is pretty impressive.

    I think you need to rewatch The Mandolorin because there are times when the stuff gets dented the only reason Caps shield is broken is because it's being hit by uru and the person swinging the sword has super strength

      I think t he only reason his armor got dented was because it was very rusty and old. But i cant remember I haven’t watched it in awhile

    In the Marvel comics vibraniam is still quite tough but the reason why it is so durable is because it absorbs Kinetic energy and adamantium is said to be a type of iron alloy so it's not too rare

    • @mr.google1437
      @mr.google1437 Před 3 lety +1

      @Michael Mamo on the Marvel wiki it says "a combination of steel, Vibranium, and an unknown catalyst" other sources specify that it's a type of iron alloy
      Edit: further down the the wiki it's specifically says that wolverine's adamantium is "true adamantium" which doesn't contain vibranium
      But in general there a lot of different types of adamantium each with varing degrees of strength and durability

    In the comics cap's shield is an alloy of vibranium and steel, I don't know if that is the case in the MCU though.

      Actually, that would give us the definitive answer of which is strongest, except we'll never see a lightsaber cut against vibranium or adamantium so in truth we'll never know.

    • @emberparadox458
      @emberparadox458 Před 3 lety

      @Sami Gibbons If you're referring to The Wolverine movie, Silver Samurai's sword was also adamantium, so of course it stands to reasons adamantium might be able to cut through adamantium. In the comics, Silver Samurai's sword can't actually cut through adamantium because it isn't actually adamantium. Also, did you even watch the season finale of the Mandalorian? When he was fighting Gideon that pure beskar spear was glowing hot where he was pressing the dark saber down against it at the end.
