- A couple days ago Mason Ho surfed his favorite childhood spot Val’s Reef. Located on the inside of Sunset Beach, it’s a tricky wave to ride with weird dead spots, a random shallow reef shelf and backwash.
Plus a raw bonus session at Waimea Bay on Memorial Day.
He is riding a ...Lost surfboards RAD RIPPER on material called the “Light Speed Performance Epoxy”. A new type of Epoxy.

It’s a travesty this guy isn’t on the CT. WSL should have a wild card for most entertaining surfer who can just by pass the QS. Mason would win that slot every year.

I caught this place one evening for over an hour. The only other guy out was JBG. My boss was one of his best surfing buddies from Waianae. I dropped my friend's name as quickly as possible. JBG said, "One of my best friends. No see him long time. Tell him I say hello." Then we traded waves one after the other. It was a about 1/2 this size but just as fun.... plenty of speed.
Legend has it that board is still flying after Mason launched it off that wave... it’s now in orbit with SpaceX
