Hi Allen the top is going to be made with what they call solar screen. It’s in the tighter, weaved screen that will help block the sun. It will look a little darker than the side screens to help with the cooling inside the birdcage during the day. We are a little concerned about it being too dark inside because of this but most cages around here have that.👍
