I researched every CK3 technology before 1050AD

- Today I try to research ever single innovation in CK3 as fast as humanly possible. That means stacking tones of learning skill and county development in order to speed through the technological eras. How long will it take for me to speedrun the entire tech tree? You'll have to watch to find out...

Truely a crusader kings player.
When women say they only date "tall" guys, this is the guy they mean.
I can never wait for the next episode, but ive also been hoping that youd also do a unite africa decision. its very grindy but id love to see you take a look at it😅
Yeah i want a nice big playthrough
Yeah but do it starting from Mongolia LOL
@@SuperExplosivegames This is madness !
In my latest game with the Netherlands, I got ~15 development growth monthly and was able to hit 100 before the year 1000. This is possible because I have the Gardeners tradition, which is more than op.
In my most recent playthrough as the Czechs, I was able to get development 100 development in 878 this is possible because I have the console-command hybrid culture
@@dakpickels7412 Ah, console commands. The CK3 equivalent of using 'gun' in rock paper scissors.
For your spiritual head of faith to have any gold, you either need to have the communion tenet or have theocratic temple holdings to pay taxes to him. If you have lay clergy, no temples will pay taxes to the head of faith, unless they are a direct vassal to them.
Hey Zieley, did you know you get a special bonus on increase developement if your steward is a friend of yours, and thats the special thing about it: it does NOT increase the debuff value of "existing developed". I had a 22 steward and switched it to a 15 steward which i was a friend with and it doubled the amount per month increased.
This channel has an arc that reminds me of a monty python sketch. 'right... I got the world conquest achievement in 674AD three years before the game came out and without actually touching a computer'
Unless custom rulers are against your personal challenge, you could instead opt to make a custom ruler with any of the Iberian cultures to have access to the Iberian dynasty legacies, as you either need to have your capital in the region of Iberia, or be of Iberian culture or descendant from one. Alternatively, you could also keep an eye out for any characters of any of the Iberian cultures, so they can educate your heir to be of their culture. You could additionally hope for a random chance at converting to someones culture through an event, which is possible while swaying a character or learning their language.
Portugis is a good culter becouse it dosnt exist in any start date and its part of the iberian culters
But why would I want to make less tax and have less control when I could just capital hop and give away provinces for even more tax
Because his goal is to do it as fast as possible. Waging war takes time, gold and prestige, all of which are useful to increase development.
@@TheDirtyShaman yeah but being an Iberian ruler in India would cost you even more. Kids would be killed or converted and people would hate him significantly more often. And anyway he Ziely probably tried that and ended up doing the way he did anyway
So, how many unique dynasty trees are there at the moment? There's urbanism for spaniards and piracy for norsemen, correct?
I would love to see a paradox mega campaign where you focus on playing tall and developing as much as possible for the entire campaign
So basically the antithesis of EU4.
@@Wasserkaktus Honestly why i stopped playing eu4 I just felt like it lacked enough depth to keep my attention but maybe its just getting slightly outdated, or im playing it wrong lol
@@accidiaet No it's not you: EU4 just blows. It's nothing more than a very complex, glorified painting simulator.
@@Wasserkaktus Ya I feel like the only good map game paradox has released these past few years is Ck3 and the devs barely even touch it anymore
@@accidiaet Victoria 3 is an even better "tall" game than CK3.
its weird, I also don't like tech era limitations, but at the same time I think being free to just progress freely is a bit much. I feel like 50% of the previous era and 100% of the one before to lose penalties is a good option. also getting penalties for low development grow in neighbor counties and kingdoms, also makes sense, since technology spread was so important for technological development. it means more people improving and sharing knowledge. that way you can just have railguns before discovering the war of the roses unless you work really hard for it.
It reminds me a bit of the New World culture clash. Most of North America was still rocking stone era tech when the Spanish colonists turned up. But the two civilizations had been separated for 10,000 years or so. Even then the Natives picked up some of the exported techs and other colonial powers were quick to jump into the race. This game tends to focus on Spain - India which was a historical trade route with relative constant contact for a thousand years before 867. It would be difficult to realistically get that level of contrast in development. It’s like a Spiffing Brit video where he cheeses Civilization or something and nukes the nearby tribes.
id like to see a campaign where you dont necessarily conquer the world, but you set up your domain and vassals to be war like and expansionist. im not sure how doable it is to spawn multiple kings and emperors from your bloodline without direct intervention, but im also not Zieley
Ive always wanted to have a vassal conquering empire.
this is what i want, i tried to create a culture of which they are Xenophobic but love their culturemen, which theoretically means they will keep expanding outward.
@@lubu523 bellicose, ruling caste, and the trait that makes the zealous trait more common is chef's-kiss-worthy if you're the head of your faith.
Group hug invaders.
The development penalty is only active when the steward develops the county. It doesn't take away from other bonuses like "develop capital" etc.. and the number on top is the final development u get, but you sometimes counted the stewards task as the final development
The Intro animation with classic art and you putting cranes in it is a game of itself. 10/10
My favourite CK3 youtuber(with tarkasaur and Welshman) is back!
Your voice is so soothing. Love watching your videos as I fall asleep. The meme sounds are like exciting little alarms 😂
Great channel dude! Always looking forward to your video drops!
Me, A Bengali seeing the cursed Tamil-Bengali hybrid culture
I thought I was the only bengali who plays and loves this game so much that I watche content on it on CZcams
genuinely curious, why it's so cursed? Are there historical reasons or ..? I know they are different people but surely something like bengali and western germanic would be more cursed? or tamil and egyptian, it's just an example.
@@Eisenwulf666 not sure exactly, w/out hearing from op. I think what he may be referencing is the fact that they were both groups that opposed their government’s authority
@@Eisenwulf666 if you still want to know, you should google the Tamil Tigers, Naxalites and the Bangladesh genocide by Pakistan and you will understand why it's cursed. Indian subcontinent politics is pretty cursed.
@@fernandosegala3964 oh...i see
You can also use the building dupe trick to get more harbours and speed up development growth
Crane tech: mentions how it was forgotten in Europe since the times of romans(not really)
India, who's in the game too: and that's my problem why exactly?
Great video. So much fun to watch as always. Great memes. 😂 Thanks!
"I just killed my son's wife. Wow I didn't realize it would stress him out like that"
I do not know what you were expecting
Way to go! Now you should do a separate episode where you take over the world with your high culture. It should go quick but would be fun to see
I love the pairing of classical music and construction sounds in the intro 🤣
I think it’d be interesting if you researched every technology; including the regional ones.
A little tip Master, when your character dies and you reset the perks of your new character, you could select the trait your prefer (scholar in your case) and then spend perk points where you want like in stewardship trait
With how fast you can get the research machine going, I wonder how fast you could speed run getting *all* of the technologies, as in *all* of them, including the cultural/regional techs. That might be tricky since a lot of them require X counties in a specific region or biome, but it'd be interesting to see if you could do it.
you would need to turn off the timer for hybrid cultures, the most annoying parts of it is prob getting the roman, and outermer culture, maybe make a custom character with roman culture and make sure some of your family members stay roman and come back to them later.
You can prob cheese the regional one by taking one piece of land in that region, give away all your other land except your capital with high development and make a hybrid culture that no one else has and just convert that one piece of land to that culture, since you only need 40 percent of your culture in that region.
Another great video from one of the best CK3 players! Always a great day when I see you've released new content ♥️
I love the soundtrack that you used. Winter is my favourite classic piece
Awesome video. The bengali culture also has philosopher culture which gives your learning lifestyle characters flat culture fascination progress buff!
Love ur videos I wish u could make them more .👍ur videos are always funny entertaining and I learn to play better. 🙂
Lol this is like forming Wakanda but in southern India. Also I used your innovation speed run model to finish Rise of the Ghurids by stacking development in Lahore.
You always use the best music in your video intros... legend taste
Banger content as always
Im sure you can do it even faster with a custom ruler and custom councillors. Amazing video👍
i didnt know you could buy claims on entire empires with that perk. I have sprung an idea for my current playthrough.
Is that really every tech in the game? You can get more if you go to certain areas and claim enough territory and expose your culture to theirs enough. Then you could really get all the technologies. Aside from that, awesome video!
Every time I feel pretty smart at this game I watch this channel and just laugh at myself.
One thing that might help in this challenge might be to keep making hybrid cultures so that you could have faster tech gain when they're hybridized. (Tho if I'm wrong wouldn't be a surprise)
Thanks Zieley! Love these videos
Always a wonderful day when Zieley uploads 🤘
And those shitty 3D cranes in the intro killed me
Banger banger chicken banger, love from me and my friend owen❤
Can one hybrid culture grab all culture specific techs in the game?
Do one but with the regional inovation for extra challange
i love these videos always amazes me to see people far more skilled then me break games
farm ore
Getting my Zieley-fix 👍
So, with this mod CK3 fully turns into "tall tech rush, go wide once tech is maxed" strategy? Remain small, focus on culture, faith, dynasty, development and genetics, then switch to world conquest? Is there a way to even rush dynasty with how massive it is? And if you start from county with 100 development, ideal ruler and all techs and traditions, how fast will development rise in your new territories?
Next challenge: True 100% innovations, so you need to research all the technologies including the exclusive ones
Is that possible without conquering the world?
@@djlethargicyes, with an absolute nightmare state scattered across the globe
While you were out getting 100 development me and the lads fought off massive viking hordes.
Well noq you gotta go around and research all the regional inventions too
Great vid as always. I am wondering if you could take a challenge to play a knight very heavy game. With no Levy and restrictive rules on men at Arms. Basically each knight could have a limited number of retainers 5 10 20 ? I don t know what would be reasonable... siege engine where usually built in place so you could have siege retainers permanent or temporary (hired at the begenings of wars, fired at the end of wars).
That Jeff got me sooo haaaard
Banger video
Best CK3 CZcamsr imo
Damn thats quick
feasts can also provide development %bonuses once you finish them for 5 years
is nice
he used the tech era date begone mod
What was the mod that you used to remove the year requirement?
Tech Era Date Begone! Just added a link to it in the description
i see you are demonstrating why there is the tech year limit
Best CK3 youtuber
update for 2024, the game demands now 70% of any era's technologies before you can start evolving to the next era.
I still cannot get how you managed to get new eras so early
Found out. It was mod in the description
u are a beast man
I think they should just make it that researching every tech in an era, overrides the cap and you can start researching again. This mod is pretty unrealistic with needing only 50% of it.
Sorry for the late reaction, had to take some time to recover. Because this video was so good i almost died❤
OK, so it's a mod, one second I thought I had missed something big when I saw that 1050 date. :-) I was only slightly slower on my "beacon of progress" game, I started in 1066 as the Italians (Matilda di Canossa), which is one of the most highly developed cultures and has spots for multiple universities in reach, and I was done by 1281. I wasn't concentrating solely on development in that run, though, I was also trying to recreate the Roman empire at the same time, so I occasionally tasked my steward to improve culture relations instead.
"i didn't realise i would stress him about by (repeatedly murdering his spouses) doing this". Just CK3 things
I’ve been trying to crack this forever
Without the mod you can do it before 1230 with the Netherlands. Keep up the nice video's.
oh yeah, it's superpower time
second try asking zieley for a adalhard of ravensburg run
Your videos are good and all, but your intros kill me everytime
*Takes Rome*
“ah I’ll just give this to one of my kids or sumthin”
Do it again, but actually get every tech, including all the regional ones
it's no longer the papacy, it's the pandya see
yeah hard cap on tech eras is stupid
i feel like maybe you should be able to unlock them early if you have _all_ the previous techs?
How about trying to get the highest fort level possible next
After leading the develop, conquer the world💥
I didn’t see it, but did you befriend your steward? Could boost it even more
Could you have done something like this while also expanding more aggressively? That is to say, could you isolate your development culture to your personal capital holding while also amassing a huge empire? Tall AND wide? Or would that stretch your gold too thin and push back development/research progress?
Nope it works your way as well. I did it in two steps.
Create a mixed culture while I have many direct holdings. Set that culture up to be a good foundation for your AI vassals to build up from.
Choose which holdings you wanna have and then establish a new culture in your main duchy that has all your holdings.
Your realm vassal will have a weaker but still string base culture that has ties to your single county culture meaning they won't hate you and you still get the benefit of having ridiculous development.
Big fan from Czechia sends you greetings ;)
Great video! Now iam waiting for next video, that will get this on even further BEYOND! (Alias, what about trying to unlock and research even all locket technologies with that requirements?) xD
Also try speedrunning getting all legacies (Iberian and Nordic included) as early as posible (renown gain max build xD)
@Zieley
Also, i wonder, if i can send you save, where you can try win war with 100k troops against aliance of my WHOLE CALLED dynasty, that numbers over 2 MILION troops :D
(Cause someone SMART in my dynasty with claim on my Empire though, that it is SMART idea to declare war on ME, so as i had renown to spare, which is/was in hundreds of thousands, i tried to call house members to war(+200), which i have pretty much everywhere over the world, and if i tried and given independence to many king vassals of my dynasty under my empire, iam pretty sure i could rise it up to +-4 Milion troops.)
Want to try your tactics, if you can win that war for empire in a way, where it isn´t about getting 100% score, but to reduce whole enemy troops to nearly 0, when all world is going to smash you? :D
Also have in mind, with so many troops over the world moving, its going quite slow on speed 5, cause game isn´t build for so many ai movement (around 5-10 seconds for 1 day to pass xD)
With nice day wishes,
Sagi
Hi, I wanted to ask you how you use, More Development. Are you using it on one county until the cap or are you switching it every 1 development point?
I usually do the every one point butonly if the next location has a lower completion time. Idk if it actually helps the overall development, but I like to think it does.
30:08 "we revoke the land from my daughter... or my sister i guess now" Nahh
I appreciate these kinds of optimized gameplay videos without the incessantly childish meme humour that's all too common in so many of them.
Imagine a naked man goes attacks your city because he is bored, takes your fancy hat and gives the land to his 5 yo kid
THAT WAS A YEAAAR AGO???
Zieley you should restore The Persian empire as the last remaining descendant of the Sansanids love your videos btw🫶🏿❤️❤️
Are you able to do 1440p uploads? Not a huge deal but it would be nice.
"Cooper; take off the pope hat!"
Funny, That CK3 didn't add Agrarian to Tamil Culture. Especially around Madurai as it is my home town. As it is part of our way of life for atleast 2500 years of recorded history and literature with atleast a lot of festivals built around it.
Time traveler moves a chair*
Tamil *possibly naked* Space Marines conquer Cairo, Constantinople and Rome for bragging rights
Okay, I'm at the early few minutes of the vid, but you can build 2 of the same building in one place using a bug
I love people playing tall
Try create books on stewardship. May they Go with some develoment grown bost.
(Sorry for my bad english)
What culture can unlock all technology? I'm new to the game and I noticed that playing as norse prevent me to unlock other era
Do an NO COURT Challenge:)
These guys are gonna land on the fuckin moon in 1469
To get around the 50 year cultural tenet timeout you can hybridize with another culture again I think
Also did it require a mod to unlock the medieval age caps or is that part of a more recent update? It used to lock me out of technological ages until a certain year..
