    The Qashqai is Nissan's mainstream medium car, competing against regular hatchbacks as well as small 4x4s.
    It comes with two-wheel drive or as a 4x4, but unless you specifically need four-wheel drive, it makes sense to go for the cheaper and more fuel-efficient front-wheel-drive car.
    There are five engines available: 1.6- and 2.0-litre petrols, and three diesels, comprising 1.5 and 2.0-litre versions and a newer 1.6 dCi unit. Gearbox options span a five-speed manual (1.6 petrol), six-speed manual or six-speed CVT automatic (2.0 petrol), six-speed manual (1.5, 1.6 diesel), and six-speed automatic (2.0 diesel).

    Need some help. I also bought a qashqai 1,6 acenta s. I have two questions and I'd love if you could answer. A) the driver's window does not roll up automatically, have taken iy in they seem to fix the problem but afetr two-three weeks is jams and need to hold the control button so as to roll up the window? B) when fuel is consumed the illuminated fuel sign lights up on the dashboard to inform me that fuel is low, however I DO NOT HEAR THE SOUND IN ORDER TO NOTIFY ME AUDIO WISE,THANKS.

    What? You guys see the Lean, Golf and Focus as rivals?
    I would think more in the region of Countryman, RAV4, Tiguan, Sportage, Vitara, Outlander, Tucson, Forester, Nitro(?), Escape, Mokka... just to mention a few.
    If you need any help with this in the future, give me a yell.

    We're getting one (a 360) and the majority of feedback is good but i suppose it depends sometimes on how it comes out of the factory. You can have some with improper fitting of panels and equipment like my brothers experienced with the ford fiesta and my mums had the same year and model and its totally fine.

    Hi Arthur,
    The Nissan Qashqai is a medium-sized car but with a raised platform, so while it does offer a taller ride height, interior dimensions are still similar to that of family-sized medium hatchback rivals like the Golf, Focus and Leon.
    Of course, rivals can be deemed anything a consumer is looking at as an alternative, so this is just a small indication. Thanks for your suggestions, though.

    i like the concept of a semi-suv and nissan has thought outside the box with this one. the glass roof is a nice touch but those wheels are too big and dwarf the rest of the car. this semi-suv gets my seal of approval but still mistakes have been made, plus where is the tow bar.

    I bought a 2.0ltr Qashqai new in Sept 2010 (my first ever Japanese car), 'sold' on its attractive styling and positive reviews. Within the first 2-3 days, I listed over 30 faults (mainly minor to be fair) but including bumper skirt fixings that could be unscrewed by hand, rattling B-post/seat-belt assembly, panoramic roof and rear-seats, 'squeaking' windscreen/dashboard as well as various other vibrations and rattles. The interior is extremely low quality and quickly looks shabby and 'tired'.

This is one of the UK's best selling cars and it's not simply down to its looks. This is neither a fair nor accurate review at all. As for test driving its rivals.... Leon? Gimme a break!

    Nissan is my 4th car, I only buy new cars straight from the dealer. I'm going to have to agree with you..I'm not that all that satisfied with the Qashqai...it's not what I thought it would be on the road. Especially driving up hills it's SO SLOW. With my previous car the Seat Altea it was much faster considering it had less horse power. Anyhow will keep for another 2 years then will opt for a another brand but NEVER NISSAN.SORRY.Take care mate.

      @almarma Před 3 lety +1

      @@kustu I've been researching for a few weeks and decided to buy a used Qashqai because I've found very little complains about it. I own a Land Rover Freelander and I told myself I won't do the same mistake ever again (worst car ever, plagued with many issues everywhere: from the engine to the transmission, electric system, even the windows and rear gate break!). Of couse, 100% of customers can't be happy, there's always a percentage of cars that break no matter how much you try to make them good, but from all the Qashqais for sale I've found, only one was broken, all the others were sold simply because the owner bought another car and the car and all the accessories were simply working fine. So I'm quite sure it's a good car, with a few of them with issues, like any other model.

    Thanks for your support - although I have to say that irrespective of where it is built (many Nissans for the Asia market are built in Thailand) Nissan itself should have overall control regarding quality which is implemented by their own (Japanese) engineers. By the way - things have got even worse. The car failed to start the other day - had to have it towed into the Nissan dealership (at a charge of 40pounds) and buy a replacement battery (90pounds). This is a 2.5 year old car! Absolute junk!

  • @TheSoulTwins
    @TheSoulTwins Před 11 lety

    Nissan HK have had the car back on 3 separate occasions and have still not resolved any of the numerous rattles and squeaks. (even had the cheek to ask me to pay for the petrol to road-test the car!) I have been extremely disappointed by both the apalling build-quality and Nissan's pathetic attempts to rectify the problems. I will never buy another Nissan (or Japanese car for that matter) or recommend anyone to buy one of their dreadful cars.

    I have a 2.0 auto petrol qashqai... It struggles to get over 26mpg and costs me over £300 a month in fuel. Its horribly slow, underpowered and thirsty. The car is made of cheap and nasty plastics, the drivers window once fell in and now clicks on operation, the door opening catches are so cheap the have cut peoples hands when opening the passenger door from the inside (the cheap metal coating is peeling off). The boot is tiny and pointless. The seats are uncomfortable and give me back pain
