A few trains on CN's Byron Hill including the power for L508 being two SD40-2s in the CN North America scheme, and a pair of Bessemer and Lake Erie tunnel motors as the helpers.
I rode on a set of helpers up Byron Hill in the early 80’s. They used a special rod to turn the angle cocks on the caboose and helpers so they could cut off on the fly. My old man was a trainmaster for the Soo in N Fond du Lac.
@@NYTrainzchaser Back in 1969 i saw a steam engine and private business car in that roundhouse and a brand new looking diesel engine colored yellow and i think it the letters GE on it.

Great video of the helper set on the north end of the CN Waukesha Sub. Have a great rest of your evening.
Bring em home!
Great railfaning video of Wisconsin? Why are the B&LE's so far from home?
CN purchased the BLE in 2004 and spread the Bessemer locomotives around their system.
😮It's a shame the digital camera is noisy.
Wish the Bessemer locomotives were still on the Bessemer Subdivision
I used to think that was just where paint had peeled off, but now I realise that it's an outline of the North American continent
Nice catches!
Thanks!
Your welcome @@NYTrainzchaser!
Is the Bessemer and Laje Erie roundhouse in Greenville pa.still standing?

Is there a conductor on the helper jobs?
Nope.
