So excited because I finally found a plant-based physician in my area!
He's helping me transition away from Vegan packaged alternative foods that I've been enjoying since going Vegan 6 years ago and toward more whole foods: fruits, vegetables, whole grains and beans, peas and lentils.
Those Vegan alternative foods are my weakness.

You guys have done very well with your high carb diet, but then so has Dr. Bernstein with his low carb. I try to be low carb but mostly vegetarian, with a little seafood.

First off as Weston A Price was a dentist and stated that too much carbs in diet without sufficient amounts of protein and fats primarily will cause teeth to decay, gum disease, and teeth to shift which is what this guy is dealing with.

Gum disease, exactly what’s happened to me on a high carb diet. Granted, to be fair, I was eating SAD. But since switching to low carb high fat, almost 100% of the gum inflammation & pain has gone. I’m sure the high carb vegetarian diet he’s talking about works for some, but it reminds me of weight watchers, which worked as far as weight loss & left me absolutely starving all the time.

Here’s the solution, eat lots of non-starchy vegetables! We’re not supposed to eat sugars and starches on a daily basis

I think the real issue is processed foods, don’t eat them. Some of us react great to vegan some seem to get along with low carb. It’s petty confusing though. I’m trying vegan, no added salt, oil, or sugar and can’t lose a pound in about 6 week of strictly following the plan. Getting skeptical if it’s right for me.

I think you can follow a low carb diet and low saturated fats. You can eat plenty of non starch veggies, legumes ,avocados, nuts and lean meat. People are treating this topic in a dogmatic manner.

Why don't you eat high carb and Ăźn a decade you will inform us about your A1c. We, with high A1c, we eat liw carb, no no carbs, high protein and green staff.

You know what I will follow the diet hunter and gatherers followed. Those same people that were twice as big as we are and were much more athletic due to diet high in protein and animal fat. Rather than be weak neolithic farmer with decaying tooth and brittle bones from only eating carbs. The only carbs human should eat is fruit other than that they are empty calories.

@@pandoreldr4232 There is so much information out there that early humans had much bigger bones and more muscles. They also had bigger jaws thx to eating a lot of meat (chewy). Hence why so many modern day man have crossed teeth. Its due to the shrinkage in jawline after agricultural revolution.
