Thanks, I followed your procedure and was able to replace the radiator in my 2010 Murano without disconnecting the condenser. It was really tedious working the radiator out from behind the condenser, but it worked. My advice is be patient. I also used a small 3 foot aluminum rod as a lever to create space between the condenser and radiator.
John, thanks for the information. I am running into the same problem right now of getting the radiator out. I am tried not to disconnect the condenser lines. I wish there are a video of how you were doing it.
I would suggest including a tool list in repair videos. That's the info I came to get. I have to drive across town to put one in and I really don't want to take my whole tool box. Other people will watch to do it on their own and might not have all the tools required. It would be helpful to have the tools required before starting.
Excellent video...! Camera movement took getting used to, but who cares.Truly appreciate you making this video and oddly enough it popped into my itinerary allowing me to remove the radiator without disconnecting the condensor lines.
Hugh, can you give me guidance how to remove the radiator without disconnecting the condenser lines? I do not have enough clearance to take out the radiator. Can you help?
May I ask, how do you do without remove the AC condenser? I don't have clearance to remove the radiator. I wish someone have the video to nicely remove the old radiator. Can you please help? Can you give me your guidance to my email at tienchau2000@yahoo.com. Many thanks in advance.
Just finished this job. Do you have to take the AC Condenser out? No. I did because I know how to and because it makes the job 1000X easier. You run the risk of damaging the new radiator if you don't. The most difficult thing I had trouble with was the lower hose. The clamp was in a spot that was very difficult to remove. I was using a tool that is specifically designed for spring clamps. Other than that, it's not a hard job, just time consuming.
Very. I’m glad that you got the job done and felt comfortable doing it. None of my videos are perfect, but they will get you in the right direction! Thanks for the feedback!
@@Icanfixit-2 That one would be a tough one to video by yourself. If I pick up a tip or two by watching a video, I call that a score. Here's to never having to do another Murano!
Great job sir. I disconnected the ac tube on the top left and engine hoses at the bottom right as well so after putting it Back what fluid I need to add besides antifreeze and ac Freon . Thanks
your information is very helpful, but your camera work is dizzying! When you point out something, you need to let the camera linger for a moment so people can take in what your pointing out.
What was your mileage on the murano when your radiator started leaking? How did you notice the leak? Big puddle under your car or small leak and you were able to add fluid and keep driving? Thanks for the video.
Mine had around 71,000 miles. Initially it was a small crack that blew out completely. When the crack was small, I smelled coolant and traced it to the passenger side front. I wouldn’t continue to drive once you figure out where it’s coming from.
Hi, is there anything securing the condenser on the bottom at all? I'm trying to put the air shield back on after getting my A/C replaced and it seems like the condenser is not secure at all on the bottom & I think I'm missing something!??
@@Icanfixit-2 I am afraid disconnecting the AC tube will give me a problem later with my AC. and if I tried not to disconnect the AC lines, it is very difficult to get the radiator out since there are no space/clearance to work with.
Hi Ocie Looks like my Murano's Radiator joined yours in that great aluminium pile in the sky. :-) I am havin a bit of trouble getting the condenser pulled back far enough to get the radiator out Did you have to move the two outside plastic panels on either side of the rad/condenser to make enough room? if so I know their is a clip to release at the top, Im having trouble locating how they attach at the bottom ... if thats not the solution would ya please fill me in?? Thanks Dave
David Henderson I don’t recall any clips on the bottom. But what I did was pull it as far forward without causing too much stress on the lines. Remember you can remove any accessories like the horns to give clearance. Also if your condenser lines are mounted, remove the line brackets to give you more room too. Hopefully this helps!
@@Icanfixit-2 I have the condenser free but on the passenger side where the condenser lines com tru the bulkhead there is a plastic panel that is keeping the condenser from moving far enough forward I need about 3/4 of an inch more room to get the radiator out... I am going to take another go at it today if you have any more Ideas to get the room I need plz post Thanks for getting back to me Ocle have a great day.
David Henderson it will be hell just to get it to move. If it will slide a little, it could be enough to get it past. Try to wiggle it upward when you get a chance.
@@Icanfixit-2 Hi Ocie I am not sure if I have an earlier version Murano but I just could not get the condenser back far enough on the passenger side to slide the Radiator out .. so I removed the top aprox 4 inches of the air dam on the passenger side with a hack saw (I plan to add a small metal clip to it when I install the new Radiator) and that did it it was just enough room to get it out without messing with the air conditioner lines. Same here. I have to go search for the right special tools to get the grill out and then the condenser clips.
Great video !
The only thing that I did differently was that I removed the condenser to keep from damaging it
Cool!

This is helpful however, please be careful when using a screwdriver as a pry bar on your condenser. We had to replace ours and it isn’t cheap:(
I have the same problem right now. Hope that my AC condenser was not punctured.
I'm going to give it one more try I still can't get out the radiator. I'll try removing the horns see if they gives me the clearance.

Unlimited FaceTube shouldn’t use any Freon unless you disconnect the lines to the condenser. The brand antifreeze is pentofrost.

It has two notches on the radiator that it slides into. That’s how it’s secured at the bottom
