Upon unboxing, I was immediately upset at how the rails were very noticeably bent. But I kept going, all tools needed to assemble were included czcams.com/users/postUgkxqtX4Dxs6aecAZEuz6GY5-d81YecKCshn and I had it set up in about 30 minutes. Honestly I love this thing, make sure to read the measurements and measure your space so you know if it'll work for you. I bought this to put inside my closet, underneath where I hang my clothes and it is absolutely perfect! It is VERY sturdy and all drawers glide easily and mine are stuffed, and they are still flush when closed.

O agtee. It also ties in with all tje green plants so it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb.

She's a very brave woman to paint with a big roller covered in green paint next to an uncovered white rug!

Would have saved 50% of her paint by using a smaller roller. Maybe large was all to be found around the house.. not worth the risk of going out.

I think you should buy a 2nd one and use it for “out of season shoes” or really anything that needs to be stored out of sight. Can’t have enough hidden storage in Toronto flats. Great job.

I like that you are using more than pink. I like pink but tio much of a good thing needs updating. Bravo.
You guys are being super harsh. He probably wasn’t using a blade guard because he needed to use a thinner rip blade to cut parallel to a hard wood grain. Also it’s really tough to push heavy hard wood like that with a push stick. He looked like he was doing all of the right steps given the situation.

Yes, leave it in the apartment. Looks good in the apartment, especially with the touches of pink. AND on the landing, less of a fire hazard.

I think it looks good where it is, and also it’s a statement/accent piece. I personally think the green compliments all the other blush/white colors going on. You’re giving me so many ideas!

I love that green is having its moment! I just painted my kitchen cabinets that color but a shade lighter and changed the knobs out for matte black, and I'm so obsessed. Love your channel as always!

Really? They are stained. It is the light or angle that makes them look lighter.
It does look like she didn't sand and stain the horizontal ends of the top piece of wood.
She left drips of colour on the edges. It completely ruined the finished product 😣
I noticed that right away - the end facing the camera was unstained except for a few drips - but I'm a little OCD about things like that! ;-)

I did the same a few months ago. I painted it in a gorgeous marengo grey and spray painted the handles with gold! It looks amazing!!

To paint over the shiny finish, you can also use liquid sandpaper! This works super vast!

I like it - it's like 'modern farmhouse' style. I saw on another youtube channel that you can use liquid sandpaper instead of primer before painting on shiny type surfaces.
I'm glad you're feeling better 😊 The cabinet looks beautiful, and I love green, but I think you should keep it outside. It seems to take up too much space in the area between your livingroom and the rest of the flat. I feel like you'd catch yourself on the knobs as you walk by...which would be bad 😊 Also, I was happy to see so much of Harriette in this vid 😊

It looks to me like she stained the sides, just not the one that’s flush to the wall. No reason to use stain where you’ll never see it right?

@@rosanneciccia7918 She didn't anchor it to the wall cause she doesn't know if she is going to keep it there. No point to make holes in the wall if you move it 5 min later. She probably took precautions after filming to make sure the cats don't knock it down.

Oh this looks great! I just got my first apartment and I was thinking of buying that shoe closet from Ikea but it just wasn’t my taste.. but I think I might buy it now and upgrade it myself :)
I’d say move it back out into the landing because the green would look great against the brick and especially if it didn’t bother you when it was out there before 😊
I like the diy and I love it inside. The green kind of grounds your place for me. It pulls from the bird light and the plants and balances out the couch. It all goes well together. Great video as usual.

I have one of those! It is so great for storing papers and my university textbooks/notes/etc! I never thought to paint it because it is so shiny - what a great idea!

Can anyone with longer feet tell me what size shoe (on average) will fit??? Big foot here doesn't want to drive the 2.5 hours to the nearest Ikea if the actual destination item won't work. 😁 I mean, I'm sure I'll find lots of other fun stuff I "need"... but would be sad if my clodhoppers didn't fit. 😜
I saw where someone was using one to hold wine bottles, so probably will hold quite a large shoe size! Scrolling through the reviews on IKEA's website and a 5-star reviewer says it holds up to her husband's size 12.

So glad we can keep watching you through lockdown - love your style of presenting this channel as well as your interior design ideas. The green was a great choice with the pink in the framed print, the coloured pom poms and those slippers. It sits very well in your apartment as the green lifts your muted colour palette but, from a practical level, it would free up space to have it in your landing. Either way - you’ll make it look gorgeous !

You’ve inspired me makeover my Hemnes dresser with this color scheme. I’ve always wanted to sand it down and refinish it but didn’t what I wanted to do with it. Now I do... although I’ll put gold handles instead of black ones.
