Very very useful video thank you. Never actually taken a shelter with me before but that looks pretty packable and light.
I may just have to invest in one.

So very diffent from what we had at RAF Mountain Rescue Service, RAF Harpur Hill when I was there late 1950s into the 60s. All the vehicales we had were just the trucks that were in general service. That was when I was in my late teens, time flys by so very fast, now at 82. But I didn't stay there for very long, perhaps two years, then got posted to RAF Wellsbourne Mountford, 5003 Airfield Constrution for a few years, then to RAF Stafford. All around, many good times to remember. Just got to learn to spell now.

Great rig mate. Simple & very functional. Got yourself a new sub. We are members of the island "Land & Sea Rescue". Thank you for your service. Stay safe. Greetings from Christmas Island.

Good video - i get really peeved seeing folks carrying next to nothing when on long walks. Beyond irresponsible & reckless.
Missing items - repair kit, single walled metal water bottle & water filter, fire lighting kit, toilet kit, cordage & duct tape.
Lol the Covid / emergency shelter comment - yeah, i got hypothermia & wet cos i was too scared to get into emergency shelter in case i got Covid. Okaaayyyyyy.

You would have had a fit if you had seen the things we used in the late 50s early 60s at RAF Harpur Hill, Buxton. I drove the five ton truck with a small trailer behind filled with Jerry cans of gas, and all the guys sitting in the back of the truck, none of us wore any kind of uniforms. Went into an RAF Regiment station for fuel, the Mps had a fit when we all got out, in the end the man in charge showed them his rank, then they shut up then lol, good times, I think we were on our way to Kendel area I think.

Excellent video and a few bits that I've picked up from it.
Who makes the belt & trousers?

Hi thanks for the comment. The trousers in the video are made by Lundhags a Swedish company. The Authentic pant which comes in various colour schemes.

Hello, Great video. I'm with the Georgian Bay Volunteer SAR group in Ontario Canada. Can you let me know what the U ranger is on your phone please. I've never heard of it. Keep up the great work and videos. Thanks Bob

Hi Bob thanks for the comments and the question. The mapping App mentioned in the video is Viewranger. The App covers the UK. The company was recently taken over by another company and the Viewranger product is no longer available to members of the public. The SAR version is still available for now.

My Grandson joined the Canadian Coastguard and like it, then they were told they had to those Covid injections, like others in the crew he refused to have so, they were laid off. Funny thing happened later though. Because many refused the injections, there were not enough crew to sail the boat so, the boat got parked, this is some time ago now.
