Just signed on one yesterday at 5, I was looking at the low rider as well but for an extra 2000 bucks you get the 114 and a better look I love it already got 80 miles on it rode it in a 45 degree weather in Michigan and loving everything about the M8
I just purchased a 2020 heritage classic 114 for a 100+ mile round trip to work. Absolutely perfect in every way for a commute like mine. Classic, yet practical with the floor boards, forward controls, windshield, cruise control, and bags. If you’re here in a similar reason as Block and I, I highly recommend the heritage!! Love love mine. Can’t get me off it. 😆😆😆
I was hoping you’d go lowrider s in the end. The whole time I was thinking why doesn’t Blockhead just go Lowrider S. I’d have made the same choice. The reveal video was dope by the way and the final reveal at the end with the music is in fact probably your best work yet.
I also said from the beginning he should get the low rider S. Best decision ever.! You should always follow your heart!

I'm glad you took your time, did your research, and went through your process to buy a bike that will really fit your needs, and you stayed within your preferred motorcycle style. I had a feeling you were making plans in your head for modifications before you bought it. We definitely have different bike aesthetic tastes, but whatever works for you is what matters most. Can't wait to see some of your mods. I still have my FXDLS and installed the Bassani pipes and the same seat that you had. Never could lower the mirrors though. I couldn't get them to stay away from the tank. Anyhow, hoping to see your bike as it goes through it metamorphosis!!!

I did a 3000 mi trip on a stock 2019 FXLR this summer. Plenty comfy. Great seat. 14" Harley clip on windshield, rack, and sissy bar and some waterproof soft luggage, just fine for many miles.
Can't wait to see the finished product. Super jealous of your bike. Probably going to get one in a few years when I get more comfortable riding. Just bought a Vulcan 900 to learn on.

Bought my new Low Rider S today! Ended up doing the same thing with the other Low Rider seat. Going to try out the new quarter fairing they have for it and putting on a set of Big Radius pipes. Can't wait to put some miles on it!
9.5" Hardcase Performance risers are the way to go! Just put them on my 18 Fat Bob and love them!
I upgraded from a street Bob to a street glide special and love it but the low rider s fits you. It's a nice bike and I'm excited to see you build it! Congrats man!

Full disclosure, I'm a wee bit jealous because I've been scoping out these low riders and wondering if I would have not just waited for these to come out had I known they were going to bring them back. Oh well. The world may never know. I'm glad you figured out what was going to work for you!
Who ever bagged on you about not getting bagged, haven't been following for long. I knew you would get a bike to build out. You enjoy building out bikes, and this is your style. You really wouldn't be happy with the looks of a bagger. I think for you, you made the best, most informed decision for you. Awesome choice and good for you to stick to your style!

I test rode the Fat Bob 114 and the Low Rider S. The Fat Bob fit me better at 6’3” so that’s what I bought. They both look and handle great, awesome bikes.
I have a Memphis Shades batwing on my Road King, all the wind protection, none of the weight of the touring fairings. They have awesome products. Stoked to see there fairing on the Low Rider.
Awesome choice Sir! I got the chance to ride the new low S and loved it. I’m tall so the first things I’d change is forward controls and the low rider two seat like you did. I don’t blame you at all for not getting a bagger.

what are your thoughts on the 'break-in' period for new HDs? ie - keeping the rpms under 3k, constant shifting, etc... and what are u going with for the breather and tuner?

I’m excited to see this build, I suffer from the expectation that all my motorcycles have to function and be valid source of transportation, and while others are adding fancy paint, wheels and chrome, I’m always trying to figure out how to haul my lunch cooler, horse feed, farm implements and make me look relatively cool.
The club style originated from club guys relying on their motorcycles as transportation and cover miles. Form followed function.

I have 5k miles an on already but considering to upgrade to low ride S (you know why) . I guess now I will be watching your low rider S videos before I get mine lol . Have you commuted with it yet? how's it feeling versus what impact the changes will make for it? I know you said you are going to add a Memphis Shade Fairing, are you adding a handle bar fairing or frame on fairing?

Would you ever consider doing a FXRP/T fairing? I'm considering doing that to my Low Rider. But i don't know how I feel about the fixed fairing feel.

I test rode the LR S....I’d have to move controls forward , different seat, and a bit higher and closer bars...I’m 6’1 and would try the seat thing first to see if it’ll work

I can hear AC/DC's song Back in Black playing! Congrats! Baggers are for some people, but after owning one for 6 months, I got the 2017 LRS. Never regretted it for a second. Memphis Shades Road Warrior and FXR fairings look great and offer wind protection.
