- RSI Constellation Redux Part 3 of 4: The Aquila in 4k60
.
The motto of #BillionaireNinjas is “Talk is Cheap, Ninjas Leap.”
.
Here we start a series where we take a look at perhaps the most underrated series of ship in the game, the RSI Constellation Series. This one is the Taurus. The Tanky Freighter carrying 174SCU, a tractor beam, and a bunch of missiles.
.
We'll let you know our thoughts as of Live 3.22.1 in the "Walk That Ship!" Series. We keep it simple and more about the visuals. We just walkthrough the ship and let you know what we like and our thoughts about the ship. For more in-depth analysis make sure you're subscribed so you can checkout our "Talk that Ship!" playlist or our "Review Every Ship by CitizenCon 2024" playlist.

If I am correct, the top turret on the Aquilla is a science turret and NOT a gun turret. The bottom turret on the Taurus is a tractor beam turret and NOT a gun turret.
Yes.
EVERY time i want to consider another ship in this class.... i look back to the Aquila.... its just solid.
A mistake I see alot of people make judging off of their commemts in the past, is thinking that the Zeus variants will be far better than the Connie variants. This is not true people. The Zeus ships are smaller brothers to the Connies. Not the other way around. Don't let the old component loadout fool you.
So Aquila was my first "big" ship (is even on my legacy pledge). I run it with repeaters and is my daily explorer / bounty hunt ship. I LOVE it
Out of all the connies, this was always my favorite. That cockpit and exploration focus is what convinced me.
The Aquila shows how much just a little clean up on the cockpit of the Connie can make a big difference.
Appreciate you breaking it down all these ships and not just having the same repetitive comments that the mainstream be spouting! Keep up the great videos! 👏 👏 🍻
Such a cool ship !
The rounded cockpit and the view of the Aquila is beautiful! Nice mini review! I would guess that the name Aquila comes from the Latin word for eagle, which makes sense for it's boosted radars :D
100% agreed. The Constellation is the most iconic ship of Star Citizen. Other ships may be more popular but nothing is so unique among science fiction ships and evocative of CIG design as the Constellation.
8:57 It looks like a type of green with orange accents to me.
I put the Auspicious Red Monkey Livery on mine, makes it a Red Eagle :)
This is a beautiful ship
I need this cockpit glass to my taurus. CIG please....
By feature set, I think it's probably the best explorer in its class for exploration -- it trades the Andromeda's missiles for nav point mapping sensors, and it replaces the top turret with a rotating scanner seat. It's really hurt by the simple habiltation, far more than the Andromeda or Taurus.
Only thing I see as an advantage for the Zeus mk2 is the ship size for smaller jump points.
I already have one of these in my fleet.
The only reason why I would buy this ship is because of the Ursa Rover and the Merlin, as you mentioned.
Peach? When you do the "actual" review, can you go into the radar/tractor turrets of said versions and show whats the seats like, view, etc? Just want to know what the appearances are.
I dont like the aquila too much but not having those massive twin bars in my face is pretty enticing.
Does anyone know if the Merlin can be launched from the ship yet? Is the Ursa Rover able to be loaded in?
Last time it was a 125GB download to get Star Citizen. I would rather not come back until my Aquilia is fixed. Thank you for the recent content!
yes and yes, a while already
I dig the design language of the Connie, but interior and front glass need a rework.I think if they started reworking old ships they would pull in a good some of new cash.
Still love these ships use them all the time
Does the snub fighter work now?
they really should add some additional changes between the variants. right now, it feels more like the next step up from a cutlass black
The Connie Taurus WAS the next step up. But seeing how they're releasing the Zeus variants, it'll be the Zeus MK II CL. That ship will be the direct upgrade from something like a Cutless-Black. Then from the Zeus CL, you get the Taurus. All multi-role cargo ships.
There aren’t very many offerings that work well as a solo ship, and none that give the pilot that much firepower and can carry that much cargo with a snub fighter. It’s pretty solid for solo pilots.
Not my favorite since scanning isn’t in the game. Love that this constellation has the best pilot struts for visibility.
Does the snub fighter work now?
Didn’t it work a long time ago?
@@Yeetus223 it didn’t on the Aquila specifically. But it may have been fixed. It’s been a few months since I’ve been on.
This is my favorite variant. But I’d never buy it cuz I don’t like how this ship is set up
Personally the Aquilla is my least favorite Connie, mainly because true exploration isn't here yet and the Andromeda and Taurus is just better.
This is a ship that I've never cared too much about. Just doesn't seem to do anything for me
That's why I wanted to look at them. Underrated! They all have excellent hull HP and great guns but if you don't like the looks you don't like the looks.
🚀 great ship
The Aquila is the only Connie which I think is overpriced. The Phoenix, I can justify because the interior of the Phoenix has major changes for luxury. The Aquila basically sacrifices your turret for a radar and then gives you an Ursa to compensate.
At best, I might agree the Aquila should be the same price as the Andromeda as you sacrifice firepower for capability. Instead, it's making you pay a lot for a free Ursa.
Its for a different purposes though, the aquila also comes with better stock weapons and better stock missiles, its also faster in both scm and nav mode. I can't wait to review these!
@@billionaireninjas yes, and for almost bunkers and DC missions, the inside URSA is a must have too ! I just upgraded my Andro to this one ;)
