      I kept thinking to myself how Tom Walker was one of the last people to see Roberto Clemente alive. He even offered to accompany Clemente on the doomed plane. I always found that to be very haunting.

    Pairing Parada with Joez is so chaotic, just making him experience Joez thought processing in this game

    “JD Martinez was not good for a couple of years…”- Justin Penik
    The disrespect that was put on JD Martinez is crazy. From 2011-2017 before going to the Red Sox he was a 130OPS+ hitter with 152 home runs and 168 doubles and two top 15 mvp finishes. Not to mention the crazy second half of the 2017 season. While yes his 2012 and 2013 season were not good, it’s still crazy to say he was not good until joining Boston.

    • @voncornhole
      @voncornhole Před rokem +9

      It's true, JD Martinez wasn't good for a couple of years, he had an 88 OPS+ for the first 3 years. The wrong part was saying he picked it up in Boston rather than Detroit

      @@voncornhole that’s only 2012 and 2013 which I say on my original comment, I just forgot to add the stat.

      Yeah, that was weird. I'm a Sox fan, so when they picked up him, he was already established as someone who could mash. The way they talked almost gave the impression that Boston was his breakthrough.

    I only got Grigorious right because I just scored a Triple-A game in which he was playing. Throughout the game, I was making little cracks about his age, only to realize that he's actually not THAT old. It only seemed that way because of the direct lineage he had to Derek Jeter.
    Other than Didi - or maybe including Didi - I sucked at this round. Surprisingly hard.
