    If you add any sealant additives like slime or Armordilloz to your tire follow these steps to maintain proper pressure:
    Each time after adding or removing air , put a drop of water or a dab of saliva/spit in the valve to look for air bubbles? If none you are all set. If you see air bubbles simply press the valve to release slight air and recheck it. No need for new valves.

    Hey Marty, thanks for the great video.
    Did you know that some shock pumps have a tire fitting with a small lever that opens/closes the valve stem. That way you don't lose any pressure when you remove the pump. I got one and replaced the gauge to a 60psi one so I can use it to set tire pressure.

    Run flat tyres for EUC's in the future perhaps.....Might be really hard to install though.
    Mountains with snow skiing in the winter, might be open for mountain bike riders to use in the off season summer time.
    The ski runs make for excellent down hill mtb rides.
    S18 should handle the return up hill climb easily.

I like that red paint on the fender. Is it reflective? Are you going to put any type of reflector on it? I know there's a brake light, but it came with a reflector on the fender. I would say zero changes. These pedals were first used on a loaner S18 for a few hundred miles. It took A LOT of effort to remove the pedal inserts from the old wheel to install on my new wheel. I'm using industrial strength indoor/outdoor double-sided take.

    I personnaly would move the click wheel on top of the shock to the very far - open - end, as it is much, much more agile then. When having it in the middle, the shock is a bit to slow when having multiple bumps. It doesnt get extended fast enough...
    Just my 2 cents ;-)
    For the speed lock:
    I guess that even experienced riders can live with the 32kmh speed lock for 10km/6 miles, as its just about 15-20minutes ride.
    Do you remember the old times? we had 200km or 500km long locks at 40kmh on some KS....THAT was really stupid :-)

    • @ElectricUnicycles
      @ElectricUnicycles  Před 3 lety

      Yeah, I remember those old times where we had to use the key generator to get around the long locks.
      I've experimented with the click wheel and to be honest couldn't notice much difference so I leave it in the middle.

  • @toddcox6593
    @toddcox6593 Před 3 lety

    Hey @marty did you have any issues adding air to the suspension? Above 150 (positive chamber -top), it was extremely difficult to get air into the shock. Not sure if it’s a faulty pump or something else or I’m doing something wrong. Was aiming for 220/80 but not able to get to those number. The strength needed doesn’t seem reasonable, and I don’t want to break anything.

    • @ElectricUnicycles
      @ElectricUnicycles  Před 3 lety +1

      Just tonight I increased the pressure from ~150 to ~200. It was only a little more difficult. I did it a few times (I was testing how much air I lost when disconnecting the pump). On one of the attempts I noticed it was much harder, but when I fiddled with the connection (unscrew and screw) it got a lot better. So I suspect if your pump isn't solidly connected (threaded all the way on) there is more resistance when pumping.
      That's all I got
