I found the Pentax 17 to be nice camera with decidedly wacky controls. I can't wait for the Rollei 35AF 😁

Great you did that. It's important for those who get the impression that half-frame only delivers crappy pictures (if you go by most film photography enthusiasts online).🙏

Yep, with the lens on this camera, you’ll produce excellent images ready for printing!

Cool! Since grain size has a lot to do with ISO -- what ISO film did you shoot for that print?

Fuji 200 on this one. Grain is there at such a large print, but some solid detail!

@@reformedfilmlab -- Right -- still great results. But find me some Kodachrome 25 in perfect shape and shoot that, and make an enlargement!!!! 😁

Excellent content! This is one of the things I was wondering about on the 17.

@@aengusmacnaughton1375 The Pentax 17's ISO range starts at 50 so can't use any films slower than that unless you push in developing. Which usually adds grain. A shame as there are some super fine B&W films under ISO 50 available. Then again, this camera is not meant for that.

Set to 50 and use the exposure compensation dial to go lower.

This is the best way to prove to the naysayers how the lens in this camera is not only sharp but that the half frame is more than enough for 99% of people shooting film!

Are you kidding me? Even with just that quick glance you're letting us have, I can tell that it looks absolutely horrendous! Terrible!
Even at a very generous viewing distance, that ugly grain will jump at you!

Grain is beautiful. Without grain there would be no film...

@@husshardan3511 Grain, or rather dye clouds, are a necessary evil. I swear, in ten years or so, people will ask for smaller sensors to get more of that beautiful, nostalgic digital noise 😂

      Old school…..digital!! 😂
