cut creases became the standard when everybody started thinking that you were a certified make up artist if you know how to do a cut crease
I never noticed that hm, but I always do cut creases bc I can’t do anything else lmfaoooo
I just put the concealer on naturally because it made the shimmer more shimmery. Didn't realize I was doing a cut crease the entire time. Lmfao
Cut creases became the standard for me in 2009 because I have hooded eyes and they look the best on me! A darker color for the “hood” a cut crease on the fake crease I make above my natural one with a lighter more shimmery color under the fake crease like hello my mom taught me that when I was 15 because she has hooded eyes too lmao

A few years ago I worked late night at a convenience store. One night a dude came in that was clearly in Black face, and walked around the store waiting for me to react. I refused to.
He wanted attention I wasn't willing to provide so he left. Folks do look for outrage for attention.

Sometimes i just make a tiny wing with a dark eye shadow..i hardly line my inner lid..and sometimes it takes away from the shadow if you put too much liner. :)

Makeup Forever has a lot of shades too. I think Fenty gets a lot of credit because they started out with a huge range instead of starting with 30 beige and 5 deep shades then expanding later.

my face is dry & i use fenty i just use a dewy primer & setting spray & that can sometimes make all the difference
I am too I went to Sephora got a sample of Fenty and used it with MILK hydro grip primer and it was fantastic.. without a hydration Ming primer it’s true no go. I know this is months late but it may help someone. Fenty color match is spot on for me

I can't wear fenty foundation cuz I tried it, and it gave me SEVERE cystic acne. And I never get cystic acne. I had to get prescriptions from my dermatologist to get rid of it.
I then did some research and found that the main ingredients in it were not for my skin type. Lesson learned. I'm not poo-pooing RiRi or fenty, just saying it's not for every single black girl

I am sooOoOOoOoO tired of headass cut creases! I respect everyone's artistry but some people really don't have the eye shape for it to be as impactful as it should be. Same with liquid liner! (I would rather just use a pencil liner and smoke it out than fight with my eye shape to make liquid liner fetch happen)
What is the fight? Is it harder to use it with certain eye shapes or is it the way your skin is? Not being judgy. I know next to nothing about makeup and was just wondering.
T C yes certain eye shapes, skin types, face structures, etc. make certain makeup very difficult to do or it’ll look bad if u do it/use it in general. For example, a cat eye liquid eyeliner wing is super hard to do with hooded eyes.
yes!! I have monolids so I don’t even have a crease to cut and my eye shape is just not that suited for liner! different things suit different eye shapes 💗
I think you have a talent that I don’t see from many people on CZcams makeup wise, you can make an eye shadow look with any color eyeshadows look good. Like you mix pink yellow and green and somehow it looks amazing. Like if I tried to do that I would like I just got beat up but you slay any color combo 🎨
