- This is not a review video...unless you think a review video for something like this can be done in 1 day! And unfortunately, this board is going back due to the power and charging issues. But my short time with it while out on the trail was pretty impressive, and I'm back to anxiously awaiting the replacement!

The camera I use for most of my Onewheel Riding Videos is the Insta360 One X2. It's what allows me to film myself without having to worry about where it's pointed so I can enjoy the ride. It also stitches out the selfie stick automatically!

I also appreciate that you didn’t just leave the ENTIRE RIDE unedited lol, I enjoy it every once in a while but it gets old quick, you cut with the music which was great, didn’t really leave too much fluff in, and just overall had fun with the video and that’s something myself and I’m sure a lot of others will come to appreciate
Granted you really don’t have to cut to *every* beat, but it’s your own creative expression so I loved it😂👏🏻

Hey man, atleast you got to ride yours before sending it to FM. Mine just showed up DOA today, hall sensor issues. Didnt even get to feel that sweet torque :(

Really liked the quality of your video, the b-roll especially, the lighting of the set in your garage. If I may give you a tip, I would’ve like to see the riding footage less warped (because of the fisheye) it was hard to tell how steep the hills were because of the distortion. I could tell it was steep anyway lol but that’s just my feedback :-)
Thanks! And I totally agree! The fisheye is from the 360 camera I'm using to film myself with. Maybe I can get a better perspective if I use a longer selfie stick and "zoom in" in the editing software, but definitely would be better if I had a high quality chase camera man lol.
Great video! Just got my GT today as well, and had a few issues. The 22psi on my tire was incredibly sketchy to ride. I think TFL said it best with "It's like riding a bowling ball."

I forgot to mention that I would advise against the plastic mag handle on a GT because when I modded my Pint with a VNC upgrade, my handle broke off after a few weeks because of the stresses of that extra weight with which it was not designed for!

Great video! I’m just hoping my GT doesn’t come defected next week… it seems a decent amount of people are having issues with their new GT’s.
Ty, and yes...I know normally it's the ones who get the duds that complain the most... I'm just bummed more then anything. Still excited to shred the GT when I get a working one....especially after getting a taste of that torque!
Yeah, my GT is scheduled to ship in a couple days. I'm getting concerned with some of these issues other youtubers have been expressing. Fingers crossed.
Too many people are reporting their GT’s motor cuts off mid ride. It happened to my XR once. I’m thinking about selling my Onewheel’s and returning to form, long boarding. Onewheeling is 20% skill and 80% is the equipment. I can’t rely on the unreliable. If it works as it’s supposed 100% of the time then I can recommend a Onewheel but it doesn’t so when strangers ask me about it, I always mention the cut offs and cannot with clear conscious recommend the product.

The 'not charging unless you turn the board on' problem is the exact same problem I have with my Pint. But I bought my pint and left it boxed up for nearly a year before actually using it, the first charge up after the hiatus went normally, but any subsequent charge afterwards had this issue. I suspect your battery was probably neglected for a prolonged period of time, especially with FM further delaying production because of a shortage of a specific part. I avoid product launches like this because I know they usually have a lot of potential hardware and software kinks to work out, hopefully yours gets resolved quickly.
Hey Randy, thanks for the feedback. I heard from a friend that went through that with their Pint as well. At least I have my trusty XR to fall back on until they fix/replace the GT... that is, if the XR will take me back 😂
Love your video .. too bad you’re having to send your GT back. I just got me a one wheel Pint X a couple of weeks ago.
Make sure to get some Armor Dilloz in your new tire. You don’t wanna catch a big cactus thorn or nail in your tire and end up sending it back for a tire change because FM just puts regular slime in at the factory and calls it a day.
love the dilloz! Somehow haven't had a flat on any over my boards even out in this thorny desert terrain!
I grew up in Phoenix and the thorns in my bikes were so annoying.

I really just want to see the gt going up a bunch of grass hills. The xr already rips on trails I don’t really need to see a gt riding street or trail it won’t really look different enough to tell on vid. But grass hills the xr massively struggles with and if the gt does a lot better in that area that would be one of the reasons to get one.

It's probably cause the channel is still new =). I appreciate the kind words though!! Hopefully I can keep it up...it's going to get hot here in Phoenix soon...might need to find some garages to ride in 🤙🏼

Thanks! It shipped earlier compared to the last push back by 1 day. It said it was going to ship March 8th and it shipped the night before and arrived in 3 days to Phoenix.
It woulda been funny if in the skit at the start you said “todays the day” and then played the date pushbacks into your skit

From what I've heard the plastic handle will not be able to support the weight of the GT. Hopefully it lasts for you, but be careful with that extra weight on it.

Thanks for the video. I hope Future Motion does something about their overseas service. If mine is also defective the process will take forever. Plus our tax agencies have seized my boards twice now because of inadequate documentation on FM's part. They need a European Service point. One in far east wouldn't hurt either, I reckon. As it stands, it's just a bother.
Really hoping the one I've ordered isn't defective, having to ship it back across the pond doesn't sound great for my bank balance. Also, hoping a 3rd party makes some tyres pretty quick because I don't want to have to send it back for a tyre change either..

All these early issues are starting to make me okay with a late ship date like April 27th cuz I just ordered today. Maybe there will be a patch and some fixes before I even get mine. However it’s my first onewheel I’m sure I’ll love my GT regardless. As it’ll be my only board for a time I hope my issues are minimal if any. Next year is an EUC either inmotion or kingsong
Yea - being an early adopter has it's disadvantages =( Got some friends that moved onto EUCs... I'm tempted, but I might need better safety gear on those fast wheels 😂

I kind of wish you didnt let the air out like everyone else. I get the point to it but a ride at stock psi to really range test it would be nice evwryone is talking about the range but is altering the board b4 a ride
But it also sounds like it's a horrible ride at such a high pressure

I was hoping for a good range test too... You can always put the air back in before long pavement rides. That's what I do if I'm on a big group ride. But in this case, I tried to let only a little air out and yea....it was a super bumpy ride and I got bucked off twice (not in the ride video) that's why I let out more. I forget who said it, but it was like trying to balance on a bowling ball rolling over rocks...
Still a good range test def. Enjoyed the content still just filling my life with as much gt content as i can till i get mine

Thx...and yea, I'm literally about to drive to FedEx and drop it off this morning...I'm so sad. I actually got it to turn on again one more time and went for a few miles around the block to try it on pavement. It was familiar but more confidence inspiring - like you could trust the power to respond when you need it. It felt almost too comfortable getting up to speed and staying there...like when you transition to driving a bigger car/SUV and you don't realize how fast you are going. The pushback was a bit annoying if you were on any ride mode below Highline...it just pushed back earlier. Even on Highline, it was noticeable, but acceptable...at least for me.
@@ThatsGinterEV man... I'm so sorry about your GT, I hope they fix it and send it back to you as fast as possible. To be honest with you, I am a little bit scared about the speed on the GT, I'm coming from a PINT, so I'm used to 14m/h at most.

Haha, yea...it can handle 700 watts output too!! Add to that my custom install of 200 watts of solar on the top of my Element that can charge it while I'm on the road/camping/etc... Gotta keep the float party going! 😜

I have a pint X and I sold my old pint. I nose dived on both a few times, because I ride in the grass and light duty off road. I happen to hit a bump and the board seems to skip or hop in the air briefly and then when I land it doesn't have enough to correct the forward momentum. Does the GT have more stability and prevent nose dives in comparison to the XR, specifically offroad? I am getting frustrated I just want to sell pint X because I don't want it nose diving on me! Why does the board let me go like that, its messed up! I always respect push back and never go above 16mph so what gives? I'm 140lbs..
Grass can be sneaky like that... We weigh about the same, and I have encountered the same thing. Wether it is grass of a bit of chunky trail...if I don't stay loose and flow with the bumps and dips...I'll get bucked off. I don't think the GT will change that for ya... It does have more torque and if you ride an aggressive profile it might give you a little more "stability", but it can also surge/jerk when you don't expect it to when it decides to "correct" that dip, thus making you fall off anyways. My best advice is to lower your tire's PSI (I ride around 12-15 PSI on my Pint & XR, and we weight similarly), or you can try a different tire with a softer rubber compound. Those 2 things will dampen the impacts and act as a suspension for uneven terrain. 🤙🏼
@ThatsGinterEV I actually run 12psi, loosening up may help. Grass can deffinitly get you if your not ready that's for sure! I figured the GT may be a little more stable on that regard

Nope, they emailed me a shipping label. Drove to a FedEx that handles packages with lithium batteries and dropped it off.
