I don't know the history but as far as I've seen things Islami Jamiat Talaba is far better than other orgnizations. They arrange EXPOs, Book fairs, they help aspirants with admission tests, they guide graduates for CSS and other competative exams. They're very protective about Islam and all but overall they're really good and mature people.
They have a dark past too, specially their role in east Pakistan

They should have made a documentary where jamiat had to be shown with good sides too as whole student union and especially karachi university is incomplete without IJT. talking this without being biased but thats what a fact

Amazing Good Work
This violence culture was introduced by Bhutto in student union. Bhutto was the biggest traitor and dark spot in the history of Pakistan. Bhutto was darkest chapter of Pakistan who was power hunger and for his politics he didn't even divide Pakistan into 2 State but also destroyed the relationship between Urdu speaking and Sindhi people. Bhutto was the main culprit in destruction of Pakistan.
Zia also played his role in destruction of Karachi and Urdu speaking people.

اس سے پہلے کہانی آگے بڑھے میں شہر قائد سے پیار کرتا ہوں۔ جتنے لوگ ہجرت کرکے آئے اور جس نے پاکستان کے سبز ہلالی پرچم کو تسلیم کیا وہ سب میرے اپنے ہیں مجھے ہر زبان سے پیار ہے۔ ہم پی ٹی وی دیکھ کر بڑے ہوئے اور سرکاری سکول میں پڑھے تو اردو بولنے والوں سے بھی انسیت ہوگئی۔
جو بھی یہ کمنٹ پڑھے پاکستان کیلئے دعا کرے اور خصوصاً یہ دعا کرے کہ ہم ذات پات رنگ نسل جیسی غیر اسلامی غیر اخلاقی چیزوں سے نکل کر ایک قوم بن کر ایک دوسرے کیساتھ پیار محبت اور خلوص کیساتھ رہیں اور اس ملک عظیم ملک بنانے میں اپنا کردار ادا کریں۔ آمین

Wondering why no views taken form KU Jamiat leadership, at present many are in active political life in Karachi
you mentioned that before the ban on students' union the popularity of Jamiat started declining. that's not true. because in the last union election conducted before the ban, Jamiat won overwhelmingly from all over the country.
