Maliek, maaaaan, everytime I wonder if u made a tutorial for something I want to use in my head,I come across another tutorial for something I was thinking about using 2 steps later.Fake camera movement just gave me DIABOLICAL CHILLS.😈😈😈😈 Thank you homie.
Still a novice with Powerdirector, I always start with Maliek's videos when I'm trying to do something new. They are so clearly done! This one one solved a (to me) frustrating issue of how to select only part of an image AND move where I needed it in a composite shot I've been planning.
PowerDirector University i am an avid fan at your channel. Because i am using power director17 but sad i dont have license. Thats why my video had a water marks
I've been using the slow-zoom effect for awhile now, but always thought the resizing part was awkward because the preview took up so much room in the preview window and I could never be certain how the changes would actually look. But now that you've clued me in on the TV Safe Zone button and the Zoom out button, it is soooooo much easier! Thanks man!! It's the little things, you know?!
Thanks for another tip Maliek. For me the zoom then pan method in power tools is a lot simpler/faster achieving the same results but it’s always good to know another way to skin the cat.
Thanks for the tip... I'll now have to re-edit some of my earlier videos with this technique to make them more interesting. Your help is always appreciated!
Tools pan and zoom is much more easier. The method he is showing here was before these added features came in. Alot functions have arrived in newer versions since power director 17 to cut down on manually having to do these things
Thank you for your teachings. I'm trying to edit a stationary shot to create a fake handheld camera movement in PD16. Not a pan, but slight movement. 'Fake shake', if you will. I'll watch this video again to see if I can figure it out. Thank you again.
Awesome. Would this approach be similar to make a tripod shot look hand held, jittery if you will. I’d think it would take too many key frames - unless there’s another way to do it ?
You could do it but it would need a lots of keyframes. You can also try applying the Beating effect and runing down the settings to see what you get. Worth a shot.
Another well done tutorial. Thanks a lot. I am learning much from your videos, although I am using PD for many years already. Btw. how did you do that great titel sequence? Cheers.
Those are just MP4 files. I did not create them using PowerDirector. I created them with After Effects many years ago. Now I just import the mp4 clips to my project for editing in PD.
This is great and very helpful Maliek ! An additional question...if I'm using Multicam Editing and swapping between several cameras, at the end of that process I'll end up with a single timeline video file, comprised of the several cameras video stream. Can I then use your 'camera movements' method, and go into that composite-camera timeline, and implement pans/zooms on each of the cameras ....or do I have to do panning/zooming on each individual camera's footage BEFORE Multicam Editing ? Or...do I have to 'produce' the Multicam Edited footage first, and then use your 'camera movements' on the various segments of the produced video ?
You can do the camera movements after. After the multi-cam process is complete the timeline should be multiple clips which you can apply effects or movement to.
Thank you Maliek, I really appreciate you tutorials and style. Is there anyway to change the size of the TV Safe Zone? I am working with 4:3 Raw content to 16:9. Thanks.
You can slow the speed of slow motion by reducing the speed multiplier. If using keyframes to move items, you can slow down the speed of movement by moving the keyframes further apart.
I just started watching you videos. Very cool and informative. I'm trying to do a video with a singer in the middle and the background singers on the same screen. Can cyberlink 365 do this? Thank u
@@ciprianofernandes1486 Yes. There's nothing you can do about that. That happens every time you zoom in on any program. Film with the highest resolution possible and the quality decrease is less noticeable when you zoom in.
I guess you can do this with pip/keyframes or with "crop and zoom" tool right? But apparently keyframes are better. After crop and zoom you can't edit anymore. The crop and zoom settings turn into garbage. Seems like a bug :( .
Hector T Depends on the resolution of the video. If it’s 4K it probably won’t affect much. If it is 1080p and a low bit rate you may not want to zoom in as much. Look at the result and determine how much you can zoom in without losing quality.
