I do miss the old format, when the ad libs and singing were just sprinkled in. It was like a treat because you never knew when you were gonna get it, so it was more impactful and natural-feeling. Rita was supposed to be the next Rihanna. She never had quite a solid artist presence. I really like her song Poison, the lyrics are good, and the video was visually appealing.
They just didn't give her the push. She had more than other people who were out ahead of her but she seemed like a dime a dozen. Just being honest.
