- From The Fall Guy, actors Lee Majors, Doug Barr and Heather Thomas reunited for a virtual reunion panel through Wizard World Virtual Experiences 2020 to talk about this classic show, their careers and to answer fan questions.
Lee Majors was Colt Seavers, a stuntman who moonlighted as a bounty hunter, in The Fall Guy. He is also well known for his role as Steve Austin in the Six Million Dollar Man, plus roles in Ash vs The Evil Dead, Raising Hope, Dallas, The Game, Weeds, Too Much Sun, Raven, Tour of Duty, The Big Valley and The Love Boat.
Douglas Barr played Howie Munson in The Fall Guy, and is also known for roles in The Love Boat, The Wizard, Designing Women, Murder She Wrote, When the Whistle Blows and Hotel. He has been concentrating on directing since 1994, with episodes of Sweet Valley High, and many TV movies.
Heather Thomas portrayed Jody Banks in The Fall Guy, but is also known for Zapped, Cyclone, T.J. Hooker, The New Mike Hammer, Swamp Thing, Pointman and Cover Up.

Heather Thomas in that bikini during the opening montage I'm certain started my puberty. It was either her or Catherine Bach. They knew how to throw that eye candy to us impressionable young guys back then !!! Wow!!

My gf in 1990 was very troubled and on the run.. such a good person but fell with the wrong people..
she was married to a hitman who was in jail at the time.. Lee majors was his best friend.. she said he had a "major" dark side.. was kinda afraid to ask exactly what that meant considering the circumstances
she ended up killing herself . Such a sad time . But yea , I idolized him when I was younger too . 6 mil dollar man.

I liked Lee in ‘Steel’, a 1978 film co-starred George Kennedy.
Doug Barr was such an underrated actor back in the day. I used to get him confused with Bruce Boxlietner as a kid for some odd reason.
Heather was the prettiest, nobody like her, many of us continue to keep her in our hearts😍

This series took place before computers were invented and if you wanted to see a beautiful woman in a bikini you had to buy a poster, which usually sold for around $50. Multiply that by the population of the United States at the time (5400 milllion) and that's a lot of money!

I was lucky to have been a kid in the 1970’s. Lee Majors playing the six million dollar man was larger than life. Then the 80’s hit and I become a teen. Lee Majors is by far my fav actor. Hit series in the 1960’s/70’s/80’s. I don’t admire many people but Lee is at the top of my list. I wish him all the best. Heather on the Fall Guy was a teenage boys dream girl. Beautiful and her iconic poster is still remembered many years later. Wow she looks amazing still!

Extremely popular show in Germany, Lee’s title track went up in our charts and every german boy had a poster of Heather standing in the saloon doors - me too.

Nobody could’ve replaced you 3 in your acting roles. I watch The Fall Guy on CZcams now, & I’m instantly on a timeline from yesteryear when things were simpler fresh, new, & exciting. ☺️❤️🔥. Lee has been my heart throb since watching him in Big Valley. I was glued to tv on Monday nights to watch 6 million dollar man! Bionic Woman was also my favorite!
I wished they would let the "whole" series come out on dvd. I love the show.
Shucks, I just ran across this interview now, May of 2022, and am enjoying it. Its always so nice when film actors take time to spend with the fans who supported them in past projects (shows and film). The Fall Guy was one of the shows many viewers wanted more of, ending too soon. Lee, and Heather, Markie Post and Doug did 5 seasons of the show, back when they cranked out 3 or 4 times the number of episodes each season than shows do now. Looking at the show now is kinda unfair, I love seeing how much hairspray Heather and Markie Post are sporting for their big hair, but because we're not kids anymore and standards of production have advanced a loooong way since then the show is unwatchable today (for me), though it was fine for what it was, simple entertainment. But we can't go back, I'll never be 15 again, and the sweetness with which we recall the things from our past speaks more to the sweetness of our youth than anything else, which is just the way it has to be. On a more somber note, I never knew til now that Heather Thomas grew up in Greenwich, CT, home of the most hedge funds in the USA (where half the kids attend private school) and had to deal with delusional stalkers invading her privacy in Los Angeles. It must have been tough doing this show, after coming from the more serious real life environment of Greenwich. But it's a living, as they say. Now I have to wonder if Magnum PI has aged well, or will leave me cold (if I dare to look at it, and risk souring some of my good feeling about the 1980's). Meanwhile, I'm gonna find an old high sided claw foot tub to put on my back deck, that rustic house set in the pine grove is what stuck with me from The Fall Guy.

Man I watched that show a lot as a kid. Loved it.
Love the show. My parents and I use to watch it every week. I was a teenager in the early 80's. I had the biggest crush on Heather Thomas with her poster in my room. Im 55 now and still have her poster with my collections. She was so beautiful then. She is still to this day. Im glad she is doing well and the rest of the casts.

Lee talking about how simple it all was to get the program made just tells a story about how people have contrived to make everything more complicated than it needs to be. Nowadays there would be so much red-tape involved and so many people with their own egos and agendas getting in the way that people would be fatigued even before they filmed a single scene!!
I loved watching Lee, Doug and Heather having fun recalling their good old times! The Fall Guy and the Dukes of Hazzard are my favorites tv shows from the 80’s

These people are Legends of my childhood. I remember Howie had always done a college course on something to do with the plot. I loved the theme song, sung by Mr Majors, and still sing it to myself to this day.

Great show! Bravo to all Three! I associated myself with Howie, wanted to be like Colt, and was head over heels over Jody! It's so nice to see all three of them doing well, and the time to do this interview. My Dad & I use to watch this show religiously in the 80s. We'd talk about the cool things they did in the show. Lastly, I blame Heather Thomas for my blonde crush! lol.

I like Doug Barr as Howie. I like his demeanor and his character, Doug is alright in my book. And I was a big fan of the "Big Valley" from 1965 - 69'. Lee is one of a kind and a man of his word, they don't make em like Lee Majors anymore Bless him...

My boys watch my box set of the Fall guy. They love it.
I got Doug Barr's autograph at the World of Wheels Car Show back in like 1982 or 1983. He was a very nice person. I was like 7 years old and I thought his name was Howie. He was the first celebrity I ever saw in person. Don't see too many celebrities growing up in Louisiana.

I was lucky enough to do a photo-op with Mr. Majors at a
SuperMegafest in MA some years back. They rush you thru the line because there are so many fans waiting for photos so I really did not get a chance to have a real conversation with Lee. But I was cosplaying as Batman & looked a bit goofy & Mr. Majors chuckled when he saw me !
My fave episodes were the two Halloween episodes with Elvira & also
enjoyed the two episodes where Colt was doubling for 007 ! Great to see the cast together for this interview ! 😂❤❤❤❤
