As if it weren’t enough that the songstress dropped her anticipated new album on April 19, just two hours later she surprised Swifties with a second release. “The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology” is comprised of 31 new tracks. The pop star, known for divulging all about her love life in heartfelt lyricism, did not disappoint--especially on songs like "Fortnight," "So Long London," and "Fresh Out The Slammer." Swift seemingly alluded to her past relationships with Joe Alwyn and Matty Healy while also paying apparent tribute to her current beau, football star Travis Kelce.

That album is not good. To me, there is no substance. Ok, everybody gets their heartbroken blah blah blah....go deeper than that. The whole album sounds like the same chord progression used.

@@lillianloveee28The entire album sounds flat and the lyrics feel regurgitated. If anything I think this album feels forced and rushed.
Once you know who she’s talking about, you realise her writing is very very literal. It’s not clever metaphors and imagery, it’s literally just the diary of a 16 year old girl handed over to an unimaginative song producer who just slaps the same melody under it.
I think it is not her strongest album. But one needs to listen to the songs to judge, the lyrics on their own often sound weird, even from older songs.
I loved she called the Swifties and others they are "judgemental creeps " going after who Taylor is dating because she likes or loves them. In other words, she said don't get involved with your judgemental issues in her love life. Her songs are for her fans, not who she is dating.

@@mischa6688she did so in earlier albums as well, it just get's interpreted differently if it's "you sacrificed us to your bluest days" instead of "i will keep your brittle heart warm, when your cascading ocean waves blues comes". But she should have put out a clear official statement that swifties shouldn't harass/semt death threats to anyone, not that weird poem style thing "nothing needs to be avenged" i'm afraid that's not good enough...

If you look at the criticism of TS online you will see it’s hate from people who don’t know her music or even music or anything about her just the same old ignorant and sexist criticism that started 2 decades ago…. Meanwhile she’s become the biggest musical artist in the world and universities teach courses about her art, so please continue your hate it’s working very well

@@SilkandScrooge It’s true though. The lyrics are not catchy and are based mainly on past relationships (no surprise there). The sound production seems all too familiar as well and isn’t groundbreaking at all.
